Here is the latest NBA.com power rankings. Includes games played through Dec. 8, 2003 http://www.nba.com/features/rankings_index.html The Rockets are number 7 on this list. Up 3 from 10. San Antonio is at number 10 now.
Houston (10) 12-7 Solid recovery from three-game losing streak with three straight victories over Jazz, Hornets and Pistons. Meanwhile, Yao continues to average the quietest double-double in the league. A lot of sports writers mention how well Yao is doing without creating too much hype. I think this is good for him. This year we are letting him DEVELOP into a superstar instead of expecting it from the start.
Do not mean this to be a Steve-bash post, but do you guys realize that a good thing is happening to the Rox?! Statistically among all teams Rox is second worst in number of assists, top five in number of turnovers, co-leaders in least number of steals. Yet only 7 teams have a better W-L record than the Rox. Man, there must be something good about their play. If we steal just one better, assist two better and TO two less, we'll be playing for the Western Conference Finals. What's your take?
