Golden State looks intimidated, in disarray. It's kind of crazy. I think you have to have the skilled wing players to beat Golden State, but you also need a physical presence. Tucker, Mbah a Moute really changed things for the Rockets, but I still think they could use another defensive big. I'm curious what this does now for OKC's rotations. They changed their starting lineup for this one and they also lost Carmelo early.
fck that. I am not watching this game but I saw alllll these twitter posts "omg this is the worst call in history!!" So I checked out the video and.. Ehm...I see 30 worse calls than that every single week. I didnt see that much outrage when the refs left a player with 6 fouls continuing playing?
I mean there are so many signs that they are mentally off 1) tons of techs 2) steve kerr tweeting about harden. 3) durant acts as if he is dissapointed after not reaching self actualization or discovering the meaning of life after becoming a champion. He isnt the same man on a mission that he was last year. He just doesnt seem like he’s as satisfied with his chip as he thought he’d be. 4) klay thompson looks like he is struggling to fit in right now and he is greens favorite guy to yell at. Seems like he is dissapointed that the narrative is now steph + durant rather than “splash bros” GSW is still the favorite because they are overloaded with talent but i dont think their mindset is even close to the hungry mindset of cp3 + harden right now. We see this happen with championship teams a lot. Guys get bigger egos and less motivated after winning as much as GSW has the last couple of years.
Klay is so garbage, lol. Just a 3 point shooter, his defense is overrated and he does nothing else on offense. Still very useful but not worth the contract he will get.
I called in to Matt Thomas a month ago n told him we needed a Tyson Chandler like big to combo with nene. He basically dismissed it as. I wouldn't change the team n that it's more pressing things lol.once u get to this level it's chess not checkers. N u gotta get a edge no matter how small
are players controlling the replay booth too? How hard is it to queue up the soft toss by Draymond Green that caused him to get ejected?
Anybody besides me think of Josh Smith when Draymond Green got ejected? I'm not sure he wanted to be out there any more.
Even though the vast majority of champions in the NBA repeated the next year, GSW was 5 points away from a 3-peat, Heat repeated, Lakers repeated, Lakers three-prated, Bulls three-prated, Rockets repeated, Bulls three-prated, Pistons repeated, Lakers repeated a few times, etc...
I agree about needing another physical big. I don't know if Nene can make it through a deep post season grind. We need his physicality against Green. He can push Green around like Adams did tonight.
