Will likely center around Adams and others if something happens.

I think Adams is better than DeAndre.

If it's for DeAndre/Lou that would be interesting. If they hadn't lost Roberson they would be really tough to beat in the post-season...

I hope the Clips don't fall for the okie doke like Ind and NY. Lou needs the ball to be productive, so not sure if he would like it there in that situation. That would be a big upgrade for them though.

    Makes some sense.

    Lou / DJ are expirings

Allows OKC to afford keeping George past this season.

Risky, but that is what you get when you build around Russ.

So much younger, too, and thus more valuable. I want Adams on my team.

This would be a stupid move.

This actually makes a ton of sense.

For those who are confused about why the Thunder would get rid of Adams ... it's pretty simple, thunder are cheap and can't afford to keep that team together. Woj already mentioned that they are not willing to keep that team together past this season due to the repeater lux tax.

Adams makes 25 mill per, Jordan is expiring, it's so they can get out of Adams contract while still being competetive for their one season run.

No if they are desperate to convince George to stay.
They need a wing right now and they dont have any other assets.

I think it can work for both teams and it certainly makes sense.

They're actually scarier with Adams. He understands how to play with Russ. DeAndre would expect the lobs that CP3 was giving him, and those are nowhere to be found in OKC's offense. Lou would be a nice piece for them off the bench, but his lack of defense and inconsistent scoring really gets magnified in the playoffs.

    Hmm interesting.

Adams is a lot younger and is better than Jordan. However, for what the Thunder run it is possible that Jordan is a better fit. Also the Thunder get out of paying Adams nearly $80,000,000 the next three years.

Not sure how well Lou Williams would do in OKC. If he doesn't have the ball in his hands, he isn't all that special.

Do the Clippers really want to pay Adams $80,000,000?

Still it looks tough on paper:

    Westbrook/Williams/George/Anthony/Jordan

Too mad it isn't 2012 for Thunder fans.

Is that the team that traded away Harden?

Can you imagine the turmoil created by this trade? Deandre won't be letting Westbrook get free rebounds, and it's really gonna sour that locker room. It could really derail their 2nd round aspirations.

That's why it would be for both DJ and Lou Williams.

Thunder have been needing bench scoring bad, even when they had that 8-game winning streak. Lou would immediately fix this (when he is on).

I don't think this would raise the bar too much for the Thunder, and would probably hurt them in the future.

For the playoffs, DJ is going to be a liability in crunch time and Lou has a history of being a no-show. Adams would be much better in the playoffs.

Agree with you that Adams is the better center, he is a rare combination of strength, athleticism, speed, size and youth.

Still, 80 million of the next 3 seasons is a lot.

    Lol it's true

Check this thread on realgm that explains it well. https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1669085

Quote from WOJ on the thunder
Makes sense for them to get our of Adams contract through a Jordan/Lou deal. It's an ******* move for the Thunders future as Adams is a nice young piece, but it makes a lot of sense and is a good deal if they want to cut future money while being competitive this season.
