A team official for the NBA's Houston Rockets suffered a heart attack at a practice in Lower Manhattan on Monday and was revived by FDNY members who ran over from their nearby station, officials said.

The Rockets, who are in town to play the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, were shooting hoops at Basketball City off the FDR Drive near Montgomery St. about 11:30 a.m. when the official went into cardiac arrest, authorities said. As his conditioned worsened, someone ran over to FDNY's Station 4, steps away from the sports center.

Three FDNY members, including one chief, were able to revive the team official, according to authorities. His name wasn't immediately known.

I hope it's fake. Also the more time it passes and nothing from a reputable source is reported the less likely it is to be true.

I don't think it's fake, the updated version names the fire department staff who responded:

A team official for the NBA's Houston Rockets suffered a heart attack at a practice in Lower Manhattan on Monday and was revived by FDNY EMS members who ran over from a nearby station, officials said.

Three members of FDNY's EMS squad, Deputy Chief Dinorah Claudio, Lieut. David Cira and EMT Joe Siciliano, performed CPR and revived the team official, authorities said. He was taken afterwards to a nearby hospital.

The FDNY posted a proud shout-out on Twitter to the life-saving trio who “resuscitated a patient this morning after receiving a knock on their station door.”

Rockets officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

    Well I can only hope.

I wish quick recovery to the person involved if it's real.
It must have been very scary if this happened during practice.

Scary stuff. Never too soon to be taking soda and processed foods out of your diet as much as possible. Especially if there’s a family history of heart problems.

Hope whoever this was has a swift recovery.
