Listening to Tom Gugliotta (Satan incarnate) is annoying the heck out of me. I hope when Houston comes back from their timeout after being down 73-70, they decide to take out Bullard. Why not play Carlos on Tom?

Rudy is the weirdest coach in the league. Good, but weird. I just don't understand him...

I think tonight's loss was RUDY'S FAULT. When the Rockets were up by 12, he put in a horrible lineup letting the punk suns get back into it. After that, Kidd took over. Seems like every time the Rockets would make a run, Rudy would help Phoenix out by changing the line up. I thought the other team was the one that is supposed to make adjustments. Thanks Rudy, you just damaged our playoff chances badly.

Maybe he is trying to teach our young guards that defense wins, and lack of it loses.

Damaged our playoff chances? It took a miracle before tonights game for the Rockets to make the playoffs. It's just not meant to be this season. The Rockets are just not there yet. They've vastly improved this season, but the not playoff caliber, especially in the West.

I agree with Franchise2K1,strange lineups at crucial times...frustrating as hell.Big guys not getting more PT,when we could have exploited them inside.Dream could have posted up at will.....I'm sure RT had his reasons,man...Lets get CWebb and do some major damage next year.

    Dadakota,

Sometimes you have to stop the teaching and dogged ways, and realize that Kidd is having a career night, and that you MUST double team.

I saw many times in the fourth where Moochie and Mobley played him as well as they could and he still scored. At that point, you have to throw out your no double team policy, and double him. Just get the ball out of his hands, like many opposing coaches do to our guards.

Ah that's bull. A win would have brought them within 2.5 games. You're right, they are not there yet. They being, Bullard, Walt and Norris. Francis, Mobley, Shandon, Mo/KT, and Hakeem ARE there.
They should have been in to counter-act those runs. When they came back, it was too little, too late.

ZRB: Funny, I was under the impression that Moochie played great off the bench today.

However, I just read the wrap-up on the site - didn't get a chance to watch the game tonight. Give me a Boot to the Head if I'm misinformed.

    Pooh,

Im not saying we are out of it, I just think that tonights loss is all on Rudy. Im about as optimistic as you can get when it comes to believing in our guys. If we can make up 3 games on the Twolves by the time we play them, we should be able to get in.

Yes, Moochie played great on the offensive end of the floor. On the defensive end, he was burned. Offense isn't everything.

Look, like I've been saying since they went 0-3 on the road trip, the Rockets were going to need a miracle to make it in. The West is tough. When you're on the outside looking in, you have to be almost flawless, and hope the teams in front of you slip up. That road trip in my mind really diminished their chances of making the playoffs, and tonight's result has all but sealed the coffin on the Rockets playoff chances. This team as is right now is just not there yet, and it has a lot to do with the power of the conference they're playing in.
