I think this is possible. They will be ready to bash the Rockets if we lose, but they want to have this in their back pocket if we win.

"Remember when I said in February that Harden was the MVP and the Rockets were a force? I told you back then and now look they're winning, etc."

I noticed that the Cavs lost on Saturday. I’m not sure who they lost to, but I know that they lost.....

When I heard Barkley give Morey some credit and show him some love after calling him a idiot or nerd all these seasons, I thought I was in the twilight zone. He had a smile on his face and everything

As the season has continued, it's become increasingly clear that the Rockets really do have the best shot at taking down the Warriors, which is something that unites a lot of people. The Thunder are looking bad again, the Cavs are a mess and no one takes any other eastern team seriously, the Spurs are old and no Kawhi, etc. If you hate the Warriors and don't want to see them win again, you've got to back the Rockets.

Don't worry they are all working hard to come up with a narative.. Nothing is materializing. But the "Stop Hadens MVP" department is working extra time to get there.. Obviously there Lebron train is crashing hard, they were optimistic about Kyrie (the little brother who wanted to make it on his own) but worst stats and worst record knocks him out... The good old reliables durant and westbrook, but they eat into each others stats and putting pedestrian numbers from their own standards, plus warriors record is at par with rockets and Harden with much better stats. Finally the tripple double hero westbrook is really their last hope, as the media started hyping up a second straight tripple double. One of them said whats better then a tripple double season, its two tripple double seasons back to back. Not even the big O had two seasons, blah blah blah.. and at 30-20 looked like OKC was maybe on pace to just hit 50 wins, but they have now lost four in a row setting up for five as they play warriors on the road... they are now on pace for a 45 win season, worst then last year, so that would knock westbrook out.. But I have confidence in the SHM department there will be atleast five more narratives before the season is over.

Media has moved on from the narrative that the Rockets are a flash in the pan. Accepting the sober reality that the Rockets are a legitimate title contender, and only real competition to the GS Warriors.

Skip Bayles, Barkley, Shaq, and Max Kellerman are poignantly biased against the Rockets. And watching them give credit for becoming a legitimate elite team is surprising; it is clear that they try to find a “but” like a dart in the dark, but to no avail if they want to maintain their fabricated credibility.

Yes, I’ve noticed it since this weekend.
Feels like the Rockets are finally respectable in the media majority’s eyes.

    To that I respect.

you should be happier about the Rockets winning than the response to the Rockets winning

I think national TV games show respect more than anything else. I don't know how many games we typically have on national TV but this year is more than I've ever noticed and the schedule was made a while back. Who cares what some knuckleheads on TNT or ESPN say?

I still remember people hating on Jordan and LeBron. The narrative switches as soon as you start winning regularly and decisively.

That’s what I say about the endless “Empty seats in Toyota Center crap”

I really don’t care what the media say; but I will give them kudos for getting the s+++ out of their eyes
and finally acknowledging that the Rockets are a contender.
