Clint Capela is a mediocre rebounder and a low IQ defender

A guy for his age he is absouletly above mediocre and average player, I understand that we need some toughness at his position if we chasing the ring, but the guy has progressed every year, imo he is a top 10 center he might sometimes disappear durring games but he outplayed multiple all star centers this year, one that comes to mind is when we played the pelicans (home game) he definitely outplayed cousins I would say he destroyed him, give him a year or two he'll be top 5 for sure.

FYI, it has been already rejected by Morey.

You know that old saying...Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt?

You'd be wise to live by it from time to time.

    Will lose Capela in July.

There is no way Tilman will match the offer sheet on starting salary at 25 million.

Salary after Chris Paul is 110 million

Luxury taxes start at 121 million

Lou Williams, the runaway 6th man of the year and borderline all-star signed for $8 million a year. Non all-stars are not getting $25 million a year for the forseeable future.

You don't know what kind of offer Capela will receive, and you don't know what Tilman is willing to pay.

We are not losing Capela you keep key players when you are competing for a championship, why do you think Morey stood pat?

He believes we are RIGHT there.......and that is awesome.

I like Capela quite a lot, but the DeAndre Jordan trade is very enticing. The CP3/DJ chemistry is already there, and Harden can make every player that he plays with better. DeAndre is also an elite defender for his position, great rebounder and pretty much as good of a FT shooter as Clint.

what trade ? the period is over. Jordan isn't that good of a defender, Capela is actually a better defender than him

Clint's main problems are still inconsistent effort level and toughness. Maybe in the playoffs he will bring it every game. If so, the Rockets are everybody's worst matchup.

I believe it's very likely he returns unless LeBron wants to come here, which would make it impossible. Teams will not offer Clint a max contract unless he plays out of his mind in the postseason.
