While I agree that we shouldn't go overboard about losing to the Spurs - I must admit that I am becoming an anti-Francis man. If there was a club, I'd be a member. Trade him. Not because of last night, because he doesn't fit and his value is dropping. Get a semi decent PG and a SF or PF in the deal and we'd be better off. It's gotten so bad lately, that I'm looking forward to Moochie checking in.
Offense that is boring wins titles - the Spurs and Lakers offense wasn't exactly thrill a minute stuff, but their defence brought them the trophy. It is historically proven that defense wins basketball games, our defense is very good, and we currently lead the midwest (tied) division because of it. Van Gundy is a defensive minded coach, but the offense he used with the Knicks when they surged to the finals was anything but boring - however it was only implemented post all star break... I'm living in hope that's going to happen for us to!
If both of those things happened, we're be on our way. If they both could just meet in the middle it's be great. Sigh... Francis needs to show Yao some of his workout tapes, and Yao needs to show Francis some books on zen philosophy. Francis = Scarecrow (no brain) Yao = Tinman (no heart)
