These are the two greatest triple doubles in NBA history. Which do you think is more impressive? I personally think the game vs NY was because he dominated on the boards along with the assist. Also, do you think Harden will have another triple double greater than these two?
clearly tonite's game b/c we needed all that production missing half our team. the other game was a blowout
Easily, Philly Edit - was vs NYK Philly, Knicks, and tonight are James' 50-point tri-dubs. Career leaders Harden - 3 Westbrook - 3 Wilt - 2
This one was more Legendary to me. Starting the game 0-7 from 3 then making 5 of his next 7. 15 straight points in the 4th quarter including 2 clutch baskets Breaking Calvin's scoring record Outscoring the entire Mavs team Being forced to play virtually the entire game because of Ariza, CP3 & EG going down
Seriously think about what is being asked here. How freaking sick are these numbers? I know we need to see some of this in the playoffs, but will the haters just shut up now?
The NYE game is the better all around stat line but this Orlando game is in rare territory. Not only is it the first 60pt triple double in history! but it was hardens career high for points, he broke the franchise record and every point was needed to win this game. That was a dagger three that we NEEDED and he got an And-1. It was the literal cherry on top. Phenomenal isn’t a beautiful enough word to describe this game
with no cp3, no gordon, and no ariza that team was ASS. easily worse than the "bums" that westbrook "dragged" to the playoffs last year. he basically won that game by himself. they needed every point, every assist, every rebound, and every steal. that game was up there with kobe's 81 imo.
his stat line against NY was more impressive, but I liked this game better, and I was actually in Toyota Center when he destroyed the Knicks we don’t win this game without Harden dropping 60, and having the highest scoring game of his career and in Rockets history is just special
Consider the Knicks game 1) wasn't a blowout and 2) was against a better team than Orlando. Both teams did/do suck though. Harden's shooting percentage tonight is the biggest difference.. so probably roll with tonight as best. Ain't it great having multiple great games for options?
From a pure stat sheet way, last years 53/16/17 was better. This years however, was more important because we were missing a few of our starters.
No one IN THE HISTORY of the NBA has gotten a 60 point triple double. Not Jordan, Not Kobe, Not LeBron, Not Wilt, Not Russell (neither Bill or Westbrook). Let that sink in.
No CP, Trevor and Eric plus a masterfull clutch performance. This one. plus that crazy was against the knicks
this. our best PG - 2nd , 3rd, & 4th highest scoring perimeter players were out. so defense was focusing on him with double and triple teams. and as good as the magic were shooting, and harden being 5 out of 14 from the three, he still ended up with a better overall FG% than all of the magics players. if there's one bad thing about this game is that injury scare at the end and the NBA & refs blatantly screwing harden & the rockets. so to Silver, refs, & NBA, a big FU from harden, the rockets, and the fans
