    As great as AD is, the Pels without Boogie aren't scaring anyone.

    Mirotic is about to turn 27. If he's ever going to truly breakout, now is the time.

    Maybe I'm crazy, but I kind of feel like the Bulls should have gotten a better deal for Mirotic than this given the potential he's show this season. The 1st is nice, but having to eat Asik's contract while giving up one of their most promising young players seems dumb. They should have at least been able to get an expiring and a 1st for Mirotic.

    The Bulls didn't get very much at all for Mirotic.

    Essentially they take on the contract of Asik (12 million next year and 3 million the year after) for Mirotic and a mediocre #1 pick.

    2016: Traded their 1st(Buddy Hield) & 2017 1st for DeMarcus Cousins

    2018: Traded their 1st for Nikola Mirotic

    Mirotic is pretty good. he also under contract for next year. He averaging 16@60+TS%. Even beyond the stats the guy can score. He is worth a 1st by himself. I think dumping Asik was just for the salaries to match.

    thats a big win for both teams, esp pels. if they're gonna stay competitive and keep cousins they needed to get rid of asik's contract.

    pelicans inching closer to contender status. yes, i said it. they have their 2 stars, they have passing guards in rondo and jrue. decent wings in hill and moore. just need a few more good role players. nik is one
