DJ's blocks dropped away last season as well from 2.3 to 1.7

Rather have Speights, Noel or Biyombo instead. Team cannot field twin towers to hang around rim, NBA is all about the perimeter game now.

I think they'd do an even 24/24 split, and never ever play together. But yeah, not happening.

DJ came close to getting defensive player of the year... Capela ain't close to that either.

Okay, and Clint's value hasn't been inflated alongside Beard and CP in this system? C'mon, man. He's being gift-wrapped bunnies around the rim by two of the most skilled facilitators this league has ever seen. Yeah, he has a long frame, soft hands, and quick feet, but this notion that he's some budding 3rd star is a bit ludicrous. I think now is the time to sell high on him before he comes back with a 4-year/$80M offer sheet in July.

Capela also is a lot cheaper for now. I also think Capela has a chance to improve while Jordan will probably get worse as the years go on.

I guarantee you if Capela played for the Clippers right now he would be Larry Nance type of player lol

he was 6th among C’s in DRPM last season and allowed just 56% shooting from less than 6 feet

from NBA.com, last year the Clippers’ defensive rating when he was on the court was 103.3, when he was off it fell to 109.8...he was still pretty good defensively

Clint benefits on both ends by playing next to a guy like CP3 just like DJ would...I doubt Capela would be anything special defensively if he was on the Clippers right now

you don't sell a guy who is going to be better than the one you are getting.....especially if he is a lot younger. Capela can score off the dribble as well, he is developing at a rapid rate

Glad Morey isn't going to trade him

Clint can end this debate if he balls out in the playoffs

at 1st I was a seriously against trading him for DJ, then as time I went on I started shifting towards maybe doing the deal, but now I’m thinking that we should keep him and take advantage of his small cap hold this summer

if Capela is a major plus in the playoffs and gives us the defensive presence that we need then this decision is so much easier

if he plays well in the playoffs, then I’m comfortable with giving him 17-18 mil/yr

Capela has been top 10 in defensive rating.....even without Paul

At the end of the day, it only matters what Morey wants to do and at this point, he isn't trading Capela for Jordan. You are going to have to think up another trade or a buy out

This Beard-CP duo was built to win now, not 5 years from now, so I'd rather roll with the bigger, more powerful 5 who's a better rebounder, defender, and screen-setter... also has better stamina and can finish with authority off the PnR. Houston connection and willingness to make financial sacrifices down the road factors in, as well. I just like the fit.

You have no bigger chance to win now with Jordan than you do with Capela. Capela is the better defender, i keep telling you this

Also this duo will still be competing for a title in 5 years if they stay together

we are right in the mix

People forget how quickly a window of opportunity closes in today's NBA...Its not like the 90s when teams could stick with their core and breakthrough in a few years... These players jump ship at the quickest sign of $... It's no guarantee that Capela stays... But I can damn near guarantee that adding DeAndre would give us a realistic chance of a title for the next 2 or 3 years...
