LOL this is almost like LOFesque excuses

"it's morey's, mda's, his teammates', and everything else except for his own fault that he's sucking"

    "we don't need hca"

    "we don't need 1st seed"

so lets just get 8th seed then LOL

quit being dense. no one is blaming MDA or his teammates. I simply gave reasons for why he's in a slump and suggestions for how to help him get out of it. No one is diverting blame. It's on him to figure it out.

and yeah, we don't need home court, or the 1 seed. whether we beat the warriors or not isn't going to come down to where the games are played.

I don’t know how he can be this pathetic and still start. Blame the coach right now, not Ryno!

he's in a slump because he sucks

so no one needs 1 seed or hca now?

so everyone should just rest and shoot for 8th seed then

MDA probably got his hands tied by Morey.

overpaid, probably. one dimensional, fair. you can say a lot about ryan Anderson, but mentally weak isn't one of them.

he's absolutely hurting the team if he's not hitting shots. ask any shooter how to get out of a slump. the answer is to keep shooting. with inconsistent minutes, you can't get into a rhythm. it looks like he's having to rediscover his role in this offense, and it's hurting his game. my suggestion is to play him more to establish his confidence.

Pop does this every single year with random rookies, and they end up playing productive minutes in the playoffs. He doesn't care about potentially dropping games here and there because he understands being ready for the playoffs is infinitely more important. getting ready for the playoffs includes playing in a multitude of situations throughout the regular season. playing Ryan 10-15 minutes and then benching him mid game isn't going to do that. It's unlikely we're able to move him, so we need to get the most out of him. Him sitting on the bench for extended periods of time doesn't do that.

generally this is the case. MDA wants everyone firing the ball up. It isn't the same for Anderson though. His biggest "strength" should be his shooting and gravity. if he's not hitting shots, as another poster said, he's fairly one dimensional. he has a solid midrange post up game but we all know that won't be utilized in this offense. since he's not an elite passer or defender, his value comes from making shots. so yeah, if he's not making shots, he's going straight to the bench. this doesn't apply to Gerald green and eric Gordon because they can do other things include defend the perimeter, run the floor, attack the rim etc. that's why they won't get pulled for poor shooting.

LeBron's been to the last 7 finals. his team was the 1 seed in the east only 2 of those years.
so yeah, if the warriors decided to rest everyone and were an 8 seed they'd end up in the finals. why? because they are the best team in the league, not because they get to play more playoff games at home. the better team wins, no matter where the games are played.

no, we definitely have a chance. with that said, whether we beat them or they beat us won't come down to who plays more home playoff games.

They better trade him soon his value is getting lower and lower. We might need to give 3 1st rounders to get rid of him now.

I definitely appreciate Ryan's effort today, especially the drives towards the basket. He found a way to contribute on both ends.

The fact that he has ridiculous home/away shots is a sign that he is mentally weak.

All basketball courts in the NBA have the same size and the hoops are also the same. Why does he have ridiculous splits between home and away then? Its all in his head which means he is a mental midget.

like MVP is holding this team back? LOL

4 all stars = 1st seed, 1-2 head to head
1 all star = 2nd seed, 2-1 head to head

Home court is still an advantage, because if you are first seed you get the easier opponents (by seed) to the finals. Its not just about where the games are played, the 1st seed gets the 8th seed and so on so they are well rested by the Finals. OTH if you are 8th seed you will fight the best teams in the tourney so by the time you reach the finals you are too tired and worn out.

Why should the Rox purposely lose games just so they can give Anderson playing time? Do you have any guarantee Anderson will improve with more burn? Last year Anderson got lots of PT and he still only shot 25% from 3 along with horrible defense. Its dumb to lose games just to coddle Ryan freaking Anderson.

    I read an article

    Anderson 21 million salary in 2018-19 = 21M +65M Luxury Taxes = 86 million

Any owner will not pay 86 million for just a Ryan Anderson.

Anderson contract = team of Celtics without Morris

    Tatum + Brown + Smart = 15 million

    Anderson = 86 million

    How can you value?
