I don't get why Lue doesn't have JR come off the bench, for his offense. LeBron, IT2 and Love are more than enough. Crowder coming off the bench doesn't move the needle, offensively. IT2 / LeBron / Crowder / Love / TT Wade / JR / Korver / Green / Frye That's a solid 10-man rotation. Crowder being in the starting lineup allows him to defend the other team's best perimeter player, JR coming off the bench allows for a better offense, especially if Wade is at the 1. IT2's shortcomings on defense are also mitigated by having two wing defenders in LeBron and Crowder. JR's defense is pretty terrible, leaving LeBron to shoulder the defensive burden, in the starting lineup.
Watching Markkanen play makes me respect the hell out of Phil Jackson. I thought he was crazy for trying to trade Zinger to Phoenix so he could draft Markkanen. But looking at how polished dude's game is and imagining a lineup with him Devin Booker and Hernangomez plus whatever he would've gotten for Melo, would've been nice to see Stephen A eat crow twice
