HIs team success narrative is ass and his efficiency is being displayed for the world to see.

He isn’t close to Harden when it comes to being a reason a team wins.

Due to Kidd's glorious downfall I went on a podcast binge the last two days.
Good bballs podcast not trash ex players rumblings.

There was about one or two only analysts who reluctantly and with heavy heart said that Harden is the frontrunner but -"the mvp race this year is a mess" and " KD probably will step it up after the ASG".

Lol. Is that analyst or media talk for, "We don't have much of a narrative to fabricate a debate this season." ?

Just out of curiousity, do you actually think harden has had a fair amount of MVP coverage? I'm pretty sure I've heard Irving mentioned more in total this season than harden.

Not that your post wasn't insightful or anything. Great contribution.

Narrative will swing to somebody here soon. Probably Durant (Best player on best team), or the Cavs will start playing better and reel off a win streak so Lebron (saved the Cavs season, doing it in his 15th year)

What we do know is that the media will not shift any narrative towards Harden. Proven time and time again.

Dude could average 45-15-15 on a 82 win team and wouldn't win it.

I accepted it and im done with the award.

Media is focused on the Cleveland dumpster fire right now. Harden has also been injured, and thus out of sight/out of mind.

Most notably, however, the media doesn't have an exciting narrative to hitch their wagon to like they did last year with Westbrook.

I think the support/coverage for Harden will pick up as he continues to round into form, and will really takeoff if we go on another win streak. The media feds off of exciting developments such as these to underpin their MVP arguments.

Haha that's the one I loved last season. "But he has Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon" as the same people argued that Anthony Davis is better than harden....who had both of those players on his team lol

I remember the media blaming Harden for not being able to control the locker room and get the team together to compete. Now when it comes to Lebron's turn, they can't wait to find all kinds of excuses for him. Nick Wright even said that Lebron is mentally tired of being the only playmaker on the team, but Harden has done that for over 5 years, why doesn't anybody give him a pass when he got exhausted in the playoffs?
