Is Kidd the worst coach? Or are there some active ones that are even worse? (Thinking of Hoiberg, Lue, etc.)

He was one of the best pure PGs of all time. You'd think he'd be a decent if not a great coach but consensus seems to be that he is a grade D coach.

Usually the "star" players don't make the best coaches. The players that had to work their butts off to stay relevant make the best coaches, because they can recognize the different flaws in a player's game.

How? I need specifics. The Bucks sucked before & now they're somewhat presentable. Bad coaches don't that

He's the guy who thinks Curry is a better defender than Harden...

He isn't known around these parts for having any basis to his claims.

    Mavs should trade them Carlisle.
Dude is too good of a coach to be stuck on that garbage team

    Wrong.
Consensus is he's a grade F- coach. He wishes he was a grade D.

And sorry but you are acting like Kidd just started last year. He's in year 5 of his coaching carreer and he's pretty much a known commodity.
It's high time that what he did as a player is IRRELEVANT on what he's been doing as a coach for half a decade already!

Defensive sheme: attrocious blitzing over trapping sheme that leaves on purpose open corner 3 pointers and takes away the midrange! LMAO. Offensive sheme: stuck in the 90s with postups and ISOs and minimal ballmovement, Refuses to listen to input by analytics department, his team has only 2 ATO plays that opponents already know and made fun publicly about it, meddling in GM decisions, clashing with FO and demanding to trade young good players and picks for old and overpaid, every damn year he puts one of his former teammates on the roster, he VETOed Hammond's decision to draft Portis, to draft Vaughn because he has the same agent Jeff Swartz. Every year since he's been there the Bucks drafted and signed Jeff Swartz players to the point that even famous journalists like Lowe started to question it publicly.
Player development? Oh he's been ordering all the young players to stop shooting 3s and turn to midrangers instead.
The only thing that only now came out was that he didn't even had a good lockeroom. Jabari and he hadn't been talking for months and Brogdon also had disagreed with his coaching resulting in him getting benched and DNPed and playing freaking LIGGINS and GP2 over him instead

He's a stubborn, snarky, imbecile, shortsighted idiot manipulating snake of a coach and there's absolutely NOTHING that he does better than any other headcoach in the league.

Heck even most of the posters in this forum would be 10 times better than this cancer.

Who would be your ideal replacement?

    I am happy for you.

Giannis is their best player and he is not ready to win in the NBA YET. Not the coaches fault. In 2 years maybe you can fire him, if it doesn't work out.

The bucks are an extremely temperamental team, and Kidd was VERY good at hiding that.

Firing your best player’s favorite coach is never a good idea in the short run. Hopefully it pays off with increased performance from the other guys.

Do you think the Heat have a better roster on paper than the Bucks? The Pacers?

Somewhat unfortunately for him (Kidd), Jabari could come back to his form last year and the Bucks could go on a run and it might just be because of talent.

BUT... BUT... malakas is close to this. And right. Kidd isn't a great coach. You can judge a coach irrespective of talent.

PERFECT EXAMPLE = McHale. No real Rockets fan thought this guy was a good coach just because the Rockets made the WCF.
