yao and steve have a good shot at goin to the allstar game, why not get mobley in the three point shootout?
I mentioned this in a thread a couple weeks ago. There is no reason why Cat shouldn't be in the contest. Do the Coach's pick the contestant?
I think Mobley would actually do pretty well. After all, how could he possibly do any worse than Walker did last year? For some reason each and every year they don't choose *THE* best pure shooters for the 3 pt contest. Last year Walker took a ton of threes, but he only made like 32%, which is not that great at all. Rather than looking at how many three pointers a player shoots and makes a game, they need to look at the percentage that is made as well as the number made. Check out these stats... Ranks #3 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goals Made Ranks #11 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goal Attempts Ranks #14 in the NBA in Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage I would really like to see a 3pt shootout with the following players... Cuttino Mobley, Michael Redd, Wesley Person, Predrag Stojakovic, Chauncey Billups, and Reggie Miller. I think that would be a really good shootout...Will it happen? NO!!! But, we can all dream can't we?
although hes been great this year, i think pike is more likely to grab the spot, just from his reputation. personally id like to see pike, jon and brent barry, peja, dirk, ray allen, wesley and redd
There ya go! That would be one quality contest right there. Though really, the outcome ain't gonna be affected as long as Peja is in on it... I don't think anyone can take him down. The man is a god...
mobley is shooting great this but i don't think the way his shoots is to good for the 3 pt. shootout. his natural shot doesn't seem nearly as quick as most guys that are really good at the contest. pike on the other hand seems to have a very quick shot.
Instead of worrying about the three point contest, just get out the vote and put him in the big game. 15,000 members voting once a day for 50 days amounts to 750,000 votes, which should be enough for the starting nod.
