I really do wonder if people like Tucker Carlson believe that brown people can be 'American'.

 

TC would kiss a brown man on air and give him tongue if it meant a five percent raise was in it for him.

 

The Hispanic race was a contrivance meant to rationalize property seizures from American's largest and oldest rival for dominance in North America. No other immigrants of European heritage and language were stigmatized and segregated against in this country with as enduring a legacy. I don't know how anyone who's spent five seconds researching ranching or cowboy culture, or how anything west of the Mississippi was built, could harbor this deep an aversion to Spanish-American culture. There's some imaginary reference point from the '50s these people are fixated on when try to dictate cultural or social norms.
