probably put nash ahead of SF and payton down much lower. he pushes the tempo a lot on LAL but with kobe and Fisher there he isnt as vital as steph, steve & steve are

I'd probably stick Nash and Parker at the top after seeing how their teams have performed when they aren't on the court. Marbury IS the Suns, so I'd put him next, then Steve, then Bibby and then Payton.

Hiipieloser, I agree, right now I'd put Nash at the top. Parker I don't know - the Spurs have more problems right now than most people are admitting IMHO.

But from what I see elsewhere Marbury's going to be the starter in the all-star game this year. And given Phoenix's start before Stoudamire went down and where the Suns are likely to be before the break - I don't get it.

Marbury shouldn't even be in this poll...how can he be vital to his team's success when they're not having any?

I have been one of those that is utterly disgusted with steve's early play this season. (save for the game against detroit). It is because of this, that I think steve has the biggest impact on his team. If steve plays as a distributer, we are a playoff team. If he plays one on one, we are lottery bound yet again.

    nash
    francis
    Marbury

the others aren't near as importend to there team as these 3. maybe payton.but he does have bryant malone and shaq on his team, without him they would still have a great record.

we know what record the rockets will hav without francis (01-02)
marbury is the most importend player for the suns (but ofcourse the suns aren't winning that much so)
nash is the brain motor of the mavs attack.

Not sure about the rest, but Dallas is definitely lost without Nash.

    Without Nash, Dallas is trash.

The Rockets have proven that Francis doesn't have to play monster ball to win.

Payton in LA is overkill IMO.

LOL. He's such a cancer that his team cant have any success. Then he is still very vital to his team's success.

    Just kidding. :D

Great point!!! No matter how bad he plays; as long as Steve's on the court, Moochie isn't. That fact alone should make Francis the MVP!!!!! :D

Yes. It goes to show that people around the nation (or the world maybe) have a drastically different opinion of Steve Francis then most people on the board. They must think he's a pretty good PG...

And if that's true, I say so much for putting stock in the opinions of the masses.

Steve beat out Marbury by 1%, maybe that will be good enough to get him into his 3rd straite allstar game?
