Currently all playoff matchups are set in a bracket based on seeding. Instead I was thinking that we let top half of seeds choose their opponent each round of Conference playoffs. So if top four Western Conference is Warriors, Rockets, Spurs, and Timberwolves, they select who they face from the bottom four in that order. Interesting idea?
I like it and I remember players suggesting in a really good article in Grantland or Sports Illustrated that got their thoughts on the playoffs and all star game. As long it's only the first round I think it be super interesting and would generate bad blood and put a chip on the other teams shoulder. It be cool if it was still a five game series, leaves the players more rested and adds more potential for an upset
They should just do best 16 Teams ..Just bored seeing same results last 8 years...warriors cavs and spurs..I mean why do these other players and coaches make milliions and can`t compete ...NBA is a 4 team League...rest is garbage and most of these teams will loose to a collage team ..all of you young fans are so unlucky to not witness the real games of the 90~s...lol NBA is more like WWE now..FAKE>>>
I want SAS first and foremost. Would love to see Harden anihilate Kawahi. Plus, Rockets vs Warriors deserve to be the final round in the West.
I like the idea, makes the regular season more important. It would really intensify the top half of the playoff race, especially in the east where there isn't as much separation between the playoff teams than in the west.
