    pros
    - try to enforce good habits by continually hustling
    - get stats
    - practice executing ?

    Cons
    - might lead to bad habits if players don't take it seriously
    - could get hurt
    - burn a timeout
    - no development for other players
-other players could come in cold and hurt themselves
    - have to watch "bad" players play

Just trying to get in Mike's head here . When you are up 15 plus with 2.5 minutes left I just don't understand why you keep your valuable players in ... ESPECIALLY when one of your issues has been injuries and tired legs.

Sure an extra 2-3 minutes probably doesn't add that much wear and tear , BUT if guys are hustling out there it certainly does add some strain . And if they aren't hustling , then WTF is the objective ?

I know there was no natural game stoppage .... So why not call a time out and get some other guys in ?

Sure this seems like a marginal thing and a nitpick ... And I'm happy we won the game. But we have championship aspirations and every little helpful decision we can make we should make . I think the opportunity for the end of the bench to play is way more valuable than running the "rotation" guys out there for another 2-3 min. There is a risk of injury anytime ( goes for practice too) so why would you not seek to minimize that ?

bench has been sucking and coach don't have confidences on them even 3 minutes:)
But today's game you need to take capela and paul out, Those two are prone to the injury.

How are they getting conditioning when they are walking the ball up the court and playing conservatively ?

None of our guys are in there busting their ass . If you want conditioning make them run in practice . Don't risk some ******* on the other team trying to make a name for themselves and bumping into someone's knees diving for a ball .

I think calling some kid trying to better himself an Ahole is a bit much. When and where are youngsters going to get their minuets. It is coach’s RESPONSIBILITY to protect our players and develop our youth. It is hard now that all of ours developmental players are gone. Coach still needs to protect our players (even from themselves).

It's really inexplicable. 15+ point lead with three minutes left, or similar situations, the starters have no business being on the court. I just pray that Paul doesn't break something. I have no earthly idea what is going through D'Antoni's mind. It's just nuts. It is all risk and no reward.

MDA needs to get a clue... he can pull the starters sometimes at the 5-6 min mark... but fails to do so.

Atleast pull them at 3-4 mins left.

In the aggreagate it would keep everyone fresh

This bench units can lose huge leads very quickly. 15 points lead with 3 minutes to go is not safe at all. No coach want to lose any sure-win games.

I've said it before... and I'll say it again... MDA is a regular season stat padder... He runs all his starters long after the game has been decided to further ramp up his offensive stats - so he will be viewed as some 'offensive genius' - rather than the guy who has no post season success....

People constantly view him as some kind of offensive mastermind - go back and look at threads after our hot start to the season... the thing is, if you dgaf about D, arent focused on keeping guys healthy for the post season and refuse to play a third of your roster - hell yeh yer gonna have good offensive stats...

It prob wouldnt piss me off as much as it does if he wasn't so smug about it...
Last year following game 5 vs SA, reporters were questioning his short rotations... he got all flippant with something like 'some people just dont understand...' ...then we had the game 6 meltdown... after which he was all talking about needing to rest guys (Harden) in the future to be ready for the playoffs... lip service.... look at Ariza's minutes this year... Harden was already injured and he was still running him hard...

I'm not gonna say MDA is an idiot... cause I know he has beneficial traits... unfortunately you could drive a semi through his blindspots... smh...

Yeah, i mean, yesterday was kinda pathetic, up 15 with 2 minutes to go against a scrubby ass team and you leave your starters in, there's nothing to say really to me, an injury can always happen, also in the most stupid way possible, you just don't take the risk, especially when you have already a ton of injured players and/or "tired  legs".

    :D

I ve said the same things that you said except that MDA is dependent on an elite playmaker, now he got 2 of them.

But he will be outcoached in the Semis, WC Finals and possible Finals.

Sure has inherited that gene for smug.

look at the Knicks game where we were up by 30.... Ariza and James still finished with 35 minutes....nobody outside of the 8 man rotation got more than 7 minutes... tarik got 7 others got 4 or 5 minutes....
