If you want harden and Paul on the floor the most amount possible then you keep their minutes down as much as possible.
I like the original day 1 plan. Paul, Harden, Ariza, Anderson, Capela, with Gordon, M'Bah Moute, Tucker, Nene as the primary bench players and sprinkle in the others as they are hot or need to give someone a rest day or whatever. Maybe Green can sustain his production and move into the permanent rotation and go 10 deep.
Lob city if Green's in the lineup w Capela. Capela on the pick and roll up top w green cutting back door on the baseline. Not a component we have in the offense right now. Sexy. Excited to see what happens when everyone healthy and jelled.
I like: CP3 - Harden- Green - Ariza - Capela because the second unit CP3/Harden - Ego - Moute - Anderson/Tucker - NeNe/Andersen/Black Rocket River
Harden/CP3 Ego/Green Ariza/Luc Tucker/Anderson/Black Capela/Nene I wouldn't play Harden and CP3 together, redundant! I would push Ryno to the bench, and would sit him at home games for Black.
I like Green off the bench. He needs his shots to get into rhythm and playing alongside CP3 gives him that freedom. EG can check in early for CP3. Luc and Ariza are both great for our team because they can play the 4 against smaller teams. We don't even need Ryan Anderson in our system because we have Tucker who can play the 4 against other bigs. Actually, Ryan Anderson has been non-existent for awhile now, it's almost like that 20mil hole isnt even there!
Right now it's the one we're playing but it sure is tempting to choose that lineup with Green at 3 and Ariza at 4. I love me some Ariza at 4. And I love the bright, shiny object of Gerald Green, which I say with all affection. From what I've seen this year, I think he could eventually work his way into the starting lineup with our current roster. And I like the depth it gives our second unit, though it does leave us short a second guy off the bench that can play at guard. Paul, Harden, Green, Ariza, Capela Gordon, LMM, Tucker, Anderson, Nene Maybe Anderson would do better off the bench. He has clearly lost his mojo so badly that people forget we really coveted him for a long time for his three point shooting. Whatever the lineup, he needs to get his confidence back so he can contribute or get his value up so we can move him. Maybe this is the change he needs. I thought he looked good tonight and not only because of the early 9 points on 3-3 shooting. He just seemed looser and more confident to me. Maybe it was an optical illusion. For now I'd opt to stick with what's working. I think we've had about 3-4 games when the whole team was healthy so our lineups are constantly changing anyway according to who's available. When the whole team is healthy, I still have to go with the guys that are used to playing together and winning.
I think the more important question is who you finish with though. Harden, Paul, Gordon, Ariza, Capela is our best lineup if they're all healthy.
