Let's get existential. Why does Bobby Brown exist?

The Rockets need to do one and/or both of the following:

    1. Play him, and determine if there is a reason he is on the roster...
    2. Remove him from the roster in favor of a guard who can play point while Paul is on the bench.

I like Briante Weber, the Rockets, and myself enough that I don't want to watch the catastrophes that happen when Paul goes to the bench.

    @DarylMorey @James.Harden
    It was funny last year.

It looks like the Warriors went on a run every time Briante Weber came in for Chris Paul.
The first two minutes of the 4th, when Weber was on the floor were brutal and the Warriors expanded their lead and gained control of the game.
    Weber was a -10 in 12 minutes.

Weber is just as much of a mascot as Bobby Brown is.
It really is a matter of picking your poison, because both Weber and Brown are major liabilities.

Hopefully, the Rockets can find someone else.
If not, have Eric Gordon run the point when Chris Paul sits.

True. But Weber at least gets PT. Bobby Brown has maybe gotten 30 seconds of playing time in the first 3 quarters in his Rockets career. I get that we want to keep the guy around as a meme for Paul and Harden.... but it's time to get real.

Now that I've tagged Daryl Morey this should get taken care of.

Also @hakeem94 this dude his hating on your boy Briante. ;)

Not necessarily. I'd say most teams stick young guys at the end of their bench to watch and absorb.

I can think of Nick Collison as another example of what you're saying. Or Juwan Howard on the Heat. But.... why?

Why should any NBA team have a guy dressed in a jersey who can't actually step on the court, even if the entire arena burns down and he's the last surviving guy? While guys like Gerald Green are chilling on their couch?

Do you know how many guys go undrafted out of college? There are 347 NCAA DIv 1 basketball teams. None of them are worth looking at instead of Bobby Brown?

To make harden and paul happy.
Its good to have a connection.
Hes a scrub and whitney's ex
We could use another useful player like Green, we know Morey can just pluck one out from the streets everywhere in the world.
That said extra player can relive us of our players from getting exhausted by Diantonis short rotation.
Problem is Booby buckets preventing us to do that
