You should see how he hurt it.

It was painful even to watch.

    That's grossly inappropriate.

You always hate to here about star players getting hurt, but if it benefits the Rockets in any kind of way, then I'm all for it.

Get well soon Amare, and may your team stink it up without you.

I disagree. I want the Rockets to beat other teams at their best, not shorthanded.

A bad sprain can easily be worse than a break to recover from. That's why so many players tape their ankles.

Do his aggressive playing style and relying much on his atheletic ability make him more prone to injuries? Regardless of the answer, Amare should try to incorporate more finesse and skills in his game.

The thing is it looked like he was going for more of a finesse type move when he hurt the ankle. Looked more like a Yao type lay-up or shot opposed to his usual power dunks.

it doesn't have anything to do with relying on athletic ability. it simply has to do with having athletic ability. in the course of a game, you're going to be jumping around for rebounds, putting up jumpers, blocking shots, etc. a lot no matter if you "rely" (as if playing to your strengths is bad or something) on your athleticism or not. you jump enough and someone's foot is gonna end up under yours one time when you land. being a better jumper probably just helps that probability because you get up higher and have more time for someone to get under you/move further away from your center while in the air.

We didn't need an injury to Amare to kick the crap out of the Suns. They were stinking it up just fine while he was healthy.
