If the Rockets lose tonight then I think all hope is lost. I still believe that if they win tonight they can catch Minnesota. Minnesota has some tough games coming up while Houston has a few tough ones but some easy ones like Washington and New Jersey. The way I see it the Rockets need to be .5 games back of Minnesota by April 17th. So that means they have to gain atleast 3.5 games by then and then beat Minnesota and then have Dallas(?) beat them on April 18th.

They will win, but it will be a disappointing loss.

Seriously, though, I agree. The Rockets can not lose tonight. Must win must win must win must win must win!

I'm getting visions of Glyde at the free throw line to ice game 5 of the 95' first round series. You know who else is getting that vision?........#34.

The dream is still alive in more than one way tonight. Hakeem the Dream had a great effort in his first game back and that points to him returning back to his pre-injury form of great play. The dream of the playoffs is still alive too. The Rocks are just 3.5 games out of the playoffs as of now. With Minnesota's tough schedule and the Rockets having a few games left that are very easily winnable like Washington or New Jersey they could make it. I think they need to makeup atleast 3 games as of now by April 17th to atleast have a chance. If they could have a .5 game lead on Minnesota and beat Minnesota then they're in.

The Rockets need to make a hard push and have thier mindset to be a 1/2 game ahead. It's not easy watching the fate of your playoff hopes in another team and that's what they would do if they were to go into that last game against Minnessota a 1/2 game down. Dallas would be the team we would be begging to win. And if their position is secure they will have no incentive to attempt to be victorious. It might just be a game they rest their all-stars. So we have to handle business and we made a great start tonight against Utah.

Step 1 down, 11 more to go.
