I'm still hanging on the slim chance that the chinese character jersey are not our city edition ones. Those are basically no different than the addidas version with slight changes. Why would Nike not include Houston's, including 3 other teams, on the official announcement? Anyway, I just hope we get a surprised version of championship ketchup and mustard unis!
I think since Tilman got team last second he didn’t get a chance for a sponsor or to design a city theme. Maybe next year folks
We end up with the most basic and pretty much the exact same design we had in the past for the Chinese new year or whenever they were worn. For one we've had the same jerseys since 03 and now we get a chance to change it up and after looking at all the other teams we easily have the most uncreative and boring city themed jersey. Since we have Chinese lettering across the front I guess that's what our city revolves around I don't get it, but I understand all the revenue generated from China this was a shoutout to them I guess without taking into effect anything else of Houston...SMH. I'm really hoping with a new owner this will change and we can have a new logo and new jerseys.
The black unis are nice but those communist red garbage uniforms need to go. It’s as bad as the dildo logo of the late 90’s
I have been reading (yahoo) that the Rockets, Knicks and Raptors have yet to release their "for the City" jerseys. I dont think the Chinese character jerseys are them.
If they were going with this angle, they should have had Yao come back and design something like the Lakers did with Kobe. That would have been cool and would have made the China theme make sense as well. This is basically the regular jersey, but translated.
My money is that these will be the unis we wear on Chinese New Year (which is in February) and we have a different City Edition unis altogether!
The font better not be the font I'm seeing on his posters . . . it looks like Cobra Kai font or something. The "Run as One" font.
