Yup, I go to many games every year including traveling to road games too. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...riza-jvg-and-thibs-in-chicago-tonight.273069/ http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...mentary-tonight-6-30-pm-toyota-center.281304/ http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/clutchfans-at-staples.286791/
I understand that this is the rule. But it makes no sense. If they can use the replay to determine whether a guy stepped on the line, why can't they use it to determine which player committed the foul? It should be something very clear cut in over 90% of the time. I know they don't want refs to change the call in a debatable kind of situation. But why can't they use the principle that if the replay is inconclusive, the call on the floor stands?
So they can still control the spread and/or which team loses...i mean is there any other explanation for that bs.
Bullshit officiating. Luke Walton needs to learn to coach through it & not affect his coaching. A frustrated Luke Walton said he feels like he is getting a different explanation for various calls from the refs every night. Walton got a technical foul tonight. _____ "It's funny," Walton started out. "Every night, I learn about new rules about what's a foul, what's not a foul." The frustrated coach rambled somewhat incoherently for a moment about the technicality of a defensive blocking foul, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope not getting a couple calls, James Harden marching to the foul line every time a Laker sneezed on him and Lonzo Ball having his "shoulder ripped" before he got to the point he was attempting to make. "It's frustrating," Walton said. "We're trying to teach this young team how to play and what to do and do it properly, and it just feels like every night, it's a different excuse on why we're not getting calls." "Some of it, yeah," Walton said when asked if the lack of calls had to do with rookies simply not getting calls. "But then, I was told in Golden State that [the referees] don't look at names on jerseys. They only call what they see. So, if that's the case, that shouldn't be an excuse for it. So, I don't know." Walton added, "I'm getting different answers every night." https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/sports/Lakers-Blazers-466195963.html
do you jump up and down every time a rockets player get injured or harden gets elbowed to the face?? do you yell flopper everytime harden is on the FT line?
Lol how do you have a conference between 3 officials and call the foul on a guy who wasn't even involved
I think it would create some challenging situations for the refs in a game though. Consider this scenario: What if the refs reviewed and NO ONE had actually committed the foul. That creates a massive dilema. If no one committed the foul the refs are now forced to assigning a foul to a player who did not commit a foul. Or if the refs are allowed to change the call to saying no foul was committed then you make every foul reviewable which isn't feasible as fouls are not definitive in the first place even in replay. The refs have to make a judgement call at times. As much as everyone hates the refs, they don't have an easy job as it is. I don't think making that situation reviewable will lead to situations that make the game better.
I'm leaning towards this too. Harden has broken all types of basketball world records and on his path he might dethrone the Jordan Brand, Kobe, etc.. And since it hurts their investments they will try to protect it at all costs.
Not even a little bit. What he does is use defensive aggressiveness against a defender. Like basketball judo. Reach for the ball and he will come under your arm and make it into a hack instead. He’s forcing the defender to play hands off or putting them in position to rack up fouls. We’ve seen teams over the years gameplan a hands up defense and it works, for what reason teams don’t do that every night I’ll never know. Flopping is what the rookie did at the end of the game there. Being super aggressive, in someone’s grill until they respond or even accidental brush against them, hell, a solid fart would’ve sent that dude skidding 20 ft across the court.
They are still giving a foul to someone who didn't commit one. Let's say it's this - they made the mistake of calling a foul on Sweet Lou Williams who was far away from the play but then on review not only did he not commit the foul but no one did. Who do you assign the foul to - Lou in this case even though he wasn't near the play at all?
It would be 111-114 would 3:11 to play if we would replay. I’m 100% confident harden would win in if we were down 3 with 3 mins to go. Lou is streaky, he shoots bad to start games. And no way in hell Austin rivers goes off
