Doesn't Shandon, Walt, and any other player that plays crappy in big games (Steve Francis, I looking at you) have the same demands?

Don't blame him because the Rockets were stupid enough to give him that contract. Hell, he may be the smartest player in the league.

If Cato sustained 60% of the performance that Steve, Cuttino, Shandon and Walt put on the floor... he'd earn his contract.

There's a difference between having an off game and just not having enough testosterone to make it through the game. Heck, that's probably Cato's problem right there... he's too tapped out all of the time.

I saw him play in college when I was at Texas Tech, and he had killer game there.....maybe because he had to prove himself worthy of being a NBA draft pick.

Tony Battie was/is kinda the same way (although he has had a little more success in Boston). Wasnt he like the third or fourth pick or something?? The dude would just dominate games while he was at Tech....getting inside...banging....grabbing boards. Now he is considered for the most part a bust.

I wouldn't call it smart. Someone put a $42 million contract in front of him and he signed it. He only needed the ability to write his name.

Sure Bob ... you convince someone to put a $42 million contract under your nose.

I agree with achebe here. Defense seems to be the rockets' biggest problem. No inside presence= no ability to over play=not many fast breaks. The defense can't create offense if Cato can't keep little guards from walking the ball up for a layup on every position. Cato's waste of athletic ability is sickening...its like seeing an impotent man that hangs 10 inches...or something like that.

I thought Cato was great in that TV show, The Green Lantern. [IMG]

I'm really not that down on Cato. Sure, he sucks, but oh well. He's not the reason we won't be going to the playoffs if we don't make it. Hopefully we can find someone to take him on, if not, it's just another salary cap mistake.

of course he's the reason they're not going to the playoffs you fence dragger! If he lived up to half of his contract's demands the Rockets wouldn't have dropped three straight!

whew. That took alot out of me... time to go snack on some Chubby Hubby.
