I haven't been to Shake Shack outside of New York and I thought it was just ok. But, I was pretty drunk. I've heard that the south Lamar location has cooled off in terms of crowds, but the Domain is still packed. I won't go to Hopdoddy because I don't want to wait in line for a burger. Yeah, it's good, but there are other places where I can get a good burger and not have to wait in line.

Hopdoddy has a location in the Triangle.

    Best Texas-Sized Burger: Roaring Fork
    [IMG]
Roaring Fork chef Adrian Giovanelli is upholding the world-famous Texas-sized tradition of the Big Ass Burger. Not only is it fun to say "Big Ass Burger," it is served with delicious kettle french fries. The one-pound patty is stacked with poblano peppers, cheddar, smoked pepper bacon, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles. The fact that you can make a reservation to eat one makes it all the more appealing. The Big Ass Burger is served at both the Downtown and Stonelake locations, and is on the happy hour menu for the budget-conscious.

Haven't seen a P Terrys. Pluckers does crazy business here though. If they're open they're packed.

He’s about to open a taco concept that is like PTerrys but for tacos.

    Taco Ranch

Like Austin or Texas needs more taco concepts.... it’ll probably be packed though

    I've tried P.Terrys, Shake Shack, In-N-Out.

    Nothing beats Whataburger.

Although Hopdoddy might beat it on occasion due to the fact that they serve beer.

I like Whataburger for a fast food joint, but Hopdoddy is on a whole other level. Not a fair comparison at all.

Burgers and fresh cut fries is a must. Hubcap Grill is great. Tookies, Stomps are also fantastic.

P Terry's is ok. Love their lemonade but my daughter likes Freddie's so that's what we get and it's good as well

Curious about taco ranch. I guess it will get the spillover customers from that always packed chic fil a
