The interior paint defense is YMCA rec level when Capela isn't playing. It's pretty damn pathetic.

MDA needs to sit starters out when they up big and get younger guys some play.

Our main horses playing too much and need to help them not have dead legs at the end of season, especially the way we play.

Where's Onuaku, Williams, and Zhou??? Briante looks like he has no confidence out there. Play these guys a lil more with some starters when u up big!

No, we'll see him for about 6 more seasons playing a full 82 games each year at the 5.

Or do you truly not read your posts and get as embarrassed as the rest of us?

During his era, had Wilt been playing for Boston, I doubt if the Celtics would have ever lost.

Traded those guys away for Paul. Decker was a valuable young asset.

Truth hurt. If this team hasn’t figured out that they need to respect all nba teams and players then they aren’t ready for prime time.

Tarik Black has failed in his role. I liked the signing over the summer. Made sense and he is better for the team than Harrell. But as a "Nene" replacement or worse, a Capela replacement, he has failed. Rockets can be a good defensive team but it is like a house of cards if you take out 1 or 2 players (Capela, Moute) it is a chain reaction of events causing all sorts of issues.

When @Codman mentioned the possibility of a Tyson Chandler buyout, at first I thought, hey we have Black, Capela, Nene, we are set. Now if TC is available 100% Rockets should go after him.

Black doesn’t have it. He’s just not a NBA level player.

I don’t understand how he’s so bad defensively with his body type.

We know what the Rockets are capable of. No need to rush back from your injuries. Gotta stay healthy for the playoffs. Go Rockets!

Merry Christmas to all, and all your loved ones, with love!!

The Rockets’ crappy defense isn’t all on Harden. Say what you want about James, but when his supporting cast is so decimated and unproductive that he has to score 51 points in back to back games, and they still lose, suffice it to say he is not the main problem.

If one doesn't keep up with a game thread it's difficult to find a certain moment in the game to respond to after the fact, but I'm livid about last night's game. For the first time in memory I actually think there was such a bad call it just delegitimized the whole game. Of course I'm speaking of the foul called on Lou Williams that clearly should have been Evans' 6th foul. Evans goes on to play the rest of the game, making key plays and drawing BS offensive fouls on Harden when he shouldn't have even been on the floor. He fouled out. He was the only guy in the play and Williams was far away from the play and not even near a Rocket player.

Why do we have instant replay if they're going to get something so wrong and refuse to look at it?

When the refs make calls that so deeply impact a game, and refuse to look at the replay when there are clear complaints, that's just not a real game to me and I don't honor the result. As a result of that call I'll continue to think all season long, the referees stole that game from us as surely as if one of them was on the take.

Now we never should have been in that position, it never should have been close, the Rockets own the loss because they let it get so bad that refs could change the game.

But I don't remember ever seeing a call that bad with that impact. The last time I was this mad at the refs it was because they didn't blow a whistle on a last minute Karl Malone bearhug but that was just a (very badly) missed call at the end of a game. And they didn't have the instant replay they do now. This was totally different than that and so much worse because it happened with several minutes left and Evans played on. All while the Rockets were in the middle of making a comeback. Who knows what the result of this game would have been if they'd given Evans his 6th foul, which he clearly earned. It is totally impossible to guess.

Evans was a +20 player that should have been ejected with about 5 minutes left IIRC. Instead he played out the game and it utterly changed the result forever.

I think it actually rises to the level of we should have a makeup game because that game was straight up illegitimate. So many bad calls but giving Evans' 6th foul to Lou Williams was the worst thing I remember seeing from bad refs ever.

@Batman Jones, honestly, as outraged as I was about that call, it is hard for me to get to hung up on it as the Rockets should have won this game regardless. I mean with Evans we are talking about a rookie 2nd round pick.

Harden scores 51pts. Gordon scores 28. They were up 15 in the 3rd. And the Rockets don't have enough to win? Just, damn.

I realize my posts embarrass you. Known that for a long time. All I can say is get better at basketball and perhaps you won't be embarrassed.

I hate the LET THE REFS OFF THE HOOK . . . ."It should not have been that close" Argument
Mainly because It ignores how the Refs controlled the Whole Game

    I often say . . . Give a coach 1 bad call a half .. . and they can change the game.
POP would definitely use that call to break a run or disrupt a player
well the Refs do that . . . all the time .. .

    Its the call
its the timing of the call
Its who the call is on . . .

soo many factors that tickle down and snow ball in to a loss
