might want to take a look at when those contracts were signed and what just happened this past offseason. if you were fortunate to be able to take adv of the cap rise at the right time, that's just what happened. that time has passed now.

it's actually pretty true. you dont think teams are looking at those guys who can barely play in games now and know they dont need to pay those type of guys that type of money anymore? bc thats what's is happening. Steven adams doesnt belong with those names bc he is way better than any of those guys

Clint is staring to get a lot of love from the basketball nerds.

There starting to take notice that he's ridiculously good.

He needs to play more minutes and I think it's coming.

The guy is a future Allstar.

If Steven Adams got 4/100 Clint is getting that bare minimum.

I like deandre and prior to this year I would have said make it happen.

But Clint is becoming a top 5 center and one of the best defensive players in the league.

Nba radio has him in there top 5 players for defensive player of the year and have made note that he's a very special shot blocker his understanding of how to contest shots properly is a lost art that Capela seems to have grasped.

I know they are 1yr contracts but doesn't that still violate the CBA? I feel Silver's team would kill that because every team could use that to circumvent the cap. The bigger problem is what agent would let DJ do that? It certainly violates CBA on 4yr contract. I like the rest of the post and the plans.

 

So are you saying the clippers would accept ryno fro a DJ swap during the summer? or are you saying we trade clint and ryno for DJ now?

Look at Dirk's salary history. Gentlemen's agreement. No agent would want DJ to do that. But......If he wants to come home.........

Rox have two guys prepared to do this right now in order to get another big time player next summer. Paul and Trevor. DJ would be a coupe. And we could avoid the luxury tax next season as well as this one. That pushed back our repeater tax penalty several years and allows us to compete for a championship now and next summer while continuing to compete for championships three years after that.
