Problem is they traded Oladipo and Sabonis also cause they (and everyone else around the league) thought Oladipo was a bad contract, so that move was basically like "if PG stays fine, if he bolts at least we dumped Oladipo", that's why everyone laughed at Pritchard, at the time everyone saw Paul George traded for a bad contract and a rookie which was considered decent at best (Sabonis)...taking Ryan Anderson doesn't make sense for them especially since they have Patterson at 5M for two more years and Melo in the same spot. In some cases getting some cap space is better than taking a bad contract.

Keep in mind that according to the rumors we got at the time, the Lakers were not willing to trade Ingram for PG, don't see why they would do that when he'll be a free agent in three months. Randle, Clarkson...those are probably the players they would offer imo.

So you think if they are a 7 or 8 seed they just roll with it?
I just dont see it, they would have to beat the spurs gs and the rockets to just reach the finals. Y would u lose PG for nothing.
If they make the 5 seed i think they stay pat but other then that u just never know

The bigger question would be if the cavs are willing to give up the brooklyn pick.
If not EG package could be one of the better offers they find. Great and short contract and he fits what they need.

Of course they won’t. Unless it’s lottery protected.

If the Cavs are concerned about Lebron walking... the last thing they can do is trade a future legit asset to help in their rebuild.

I’ve also heard they’d consider moving Love for PG. Um... no.

Again if the Cavs are in a situation next summer where they’ve basically lost Lebron, Love and Kyrie and their only return was a 3 month rental of PG, Jae Crowder and the option to resign an IT... it’s be one if the worst GM jobs ever lol.

If there’s a 99.9% chance they’ll win the chip if they make such a move... then on... but there is t that chance. Not even close.

I just don’t see a big market for PG and see this Mak Ly as OKC trying to work up interest.

One thing I realized with okcs big 3 is that they're are all low IQ basketball players , they are all talented one on one players but cannot consistently make their teammates better or make the game easier for each other .
Unless it's for Ryan straight up and he comes off the bench then NO

    is Oladipo a low-IQ player?

PG is NOT low-IQ. he's just held back by ball-hogging and stat-padding RW.

in OKC’s last game against Denver...Russ had 17 touches in the final 9 minutes and only passed 3 times...PG only had 1 touch in the final 9 minutes

let’s not put too much weight on how PG looks in OKC playing next to Russ in whatever they call an offensive system over there with little spacing

PG would upgrade this team to a new level, no doubt about it...Morey was chasing hard after him this past summer for a reason...we all saw the reports about how aggressive he was in trying to get a deal done with Indiana

let’s not also forget that PG steps up his play considerably in the postseason

This is what the mavs did with rondo; traded their great chemistry for a project that didn't work out. Before rondo, they had one of the best offenses in nba history

This. PG would make this team better because he would be playing with two unselfish players (paul and harden).
Harden would not be the player he is today had he stayed in OKC and played with Westbrook.

I agree, but if I remember correctly the reason why PJ Tucker signed here was because he's friends with CP3. I'd hate to break up the teams chemistry, I love EG, Tucker, and Luc. I'm fine moving Anderson, just hate to lose any of those 3, and Ariza.

No what I was saying is that they are not that bad off to just throw in the towel with PG. They go on a winning streak of 5-8 games they could get 4th or 5th. But they are still in the playoff hunt regardless of if they play better.

But answer me, in what way does he improve our team? There's no way OKC agrees to Anderson for Paul George straight up so we're going to have the throw in a LMAM, PJ, or Ego at least.

Taking any combination of those guys away and just adding PG does nothing towards taking us to the next level, AND he's gone this summer. So we lose rotations guys for a rental that doesn't even put us over the top.

I've never been a fan of PG, I don't understand why everybody is so high on him. I don't think people watch him play, they just watch the highlights. He's not a great shooter and he's terrible in the clutch. He's not a superstar. He has a low basketball iq and has no leadership. He reminds me of Carmelo and I do not want that anywhere near a team with chemistry as good as what we have right now.

are you talking about switching guys out for him or the addition of pg13 in general bc your post said with pg13 this team doesn't improve. and thats what i was referring to. my best case is hou signing him outright if he happens to make it to FA and give hou a shot to recruit him

hes not a great shooter ok. i guess 40% is considered terrible these days. i guess you're spoiled with just klay and steph. it actually sounds like you dont watch him enough. i see no relation with him and melo.

Add PG to Harden and CP.

    That's all I want.

PG on this team can realistically challenge a healthy Warriors team. No one in the NBA right now can do it. Not even close.
