You don’t trade EG for PG... because you need both plus Harden, CP3 and Capela to beat GSW.

Bear in mind that could actually be your 5 man “death” lineup or replace Capela for Tucker and go small.

You trade Ryan Anderson for PG because you do t need him to beat GSW.

    It’s that simple.

You don’t trade PJ Tucker because you lose Anderson you need PJs minutes as a big. You can trade Luc because he’s duplicative at that point with PG and Ariza.

Anderson, Luc, picks. At the deadline

Ryan and a second or future first. Just to get rid of Ryan's onerous contract. No Capela, no EGO, no Ariza,, no Luc, no PJ.. Can throw in Black. Even if it is a rental for the rest of this year. As long as CP3 a nd Harden are okay with him.

Do not want. In what aspect of our game would we improve with PG? None.

the addition of a premier 2 way player improves the rockets on both ends of the floor. and that's why hes been a target of morey's and will be a huge priority if he happens to hit FA in the coming months

    none? thats just silly

Oh course they aren't right now. If they become a garbage fire and get the 10 seed then maybe you think about it. But the West has been so bad this year that they could coast and still make the playoffs. Only one team as of right now looks like they are right there at the 8th spot which is Jazz. Maybe Clippers if they can figure what there is team is going to be but between Utah, New Orleans, and Thunder that as of right now are at the bottom, there really isn't any competition threatening them.

Trade Ryan and a future 1st. PG is a lockdown defender, even if he doesn't stay he'll be helpful in the playoffs. We don't even need Ryno to win games. there are games where he'll go for 0 points and just be an average defender and subpar rebounder and no, he's not on the court "stretching the floor". D'antoni just benches him if he's playing poorly and in comes PJ Tucker. This way, Zhou Qi will also get some more playing time off the bench. We're going to need someone else besides our usual 8 man rotation if we want to get through the regular season while being healthy.

Ryno is also super injury prone, he's gotten better after getting on the Rockets but this dude is straight up cursed. Remember last year when he cut his finger while taking out garbage? he was sidelined for nearly a month smh.

Trading Ryno for a PG rental is actually a blessing in disguise, we're potentially weakening our 1st round match-up and we'll shed his salary that no one else wants so we can get Lebron or another superstar next off-season. We have bird rights to Cap and CP3 so we can go over the cap to re-sign them both.

The problem with this entire scenario is that Presti seems to refuse to deal with Morey ever since the Harden trade... and it's entirely possible that it still gives him nightmare. GMs have a lot of egos and I wouldn't be surprised if Presti doesn't even pick up Moreys calls.

Other teams may have better assets for the trade but because PG has come out and said he's leaving for Lakers next year, his trade value might be low unless you're the Celtics, Cavs and Rockets who are trying to win now.

I just love the idea of Sam Presti struggling again after everyone crowned him Exec of the Year.

It's still hard to believe they had Durant, Harden and Westbrook, only keeping one of those players... and they kept the wrong one.

With all of these proposed trade scenarios, keep in mind that we may be able to replenish our bench rotation with buyout guys (like Afflalo, etc that @Codman hinted at).

This thread just shows you how casual fans most most clutch fans users are. Paul George is a cancer. He couldn't work in Indiana and can't even work on OKCs super team. And to top it all off you guys want to give up all our depth and picks for a 6 month rental. And losing all possibilities of getting lebron.

Luc Mbah Moute is so good though. He is legitimately one of the 2 or 3 best perimeter defenders in the NBA. He's rocking the best DRPM for a non-big in the league. I think only Roberson is close to his DRPM. And Luc is not a d-league scrub on offense.

If PG is a 6 month rental, please explain how that makes us lose possibilities to get LeBron. Last time I checked, he's a rental because he could leave. When he leaves, cap space clears. Also, your lazy explanation of why he's not successful in OKC not withstanding, Paul George is one of the best defenders in the league, a very capable ball-handler, and an excellent shooter. Those are ALL things we would love to have from our wing position. Ariza checks a lot of boxes, but he's not nearly the player Paul George is.

With that being said, I'd still pass on him unless we're only giving up Anderson.
