Nice win. Yao has a monster game. Steve is doing great as a pg (his shooting really sucks today). Cato has a perfect game.

Go rox. I'm really happy today.

Good win ! Wasn't nearly as close as the final score...i missed the first 5 minutes but i don't think Detroit ever had a lead in this game...

you know what, to me it does. Im saying if you're rooting for Yao to get good stats to make you proud because you're chinese or asian or whatever and you are rooting for Francis because you're black or whatever then I got a problem with that. and a lot of you guys on here or doing that, mainly the Yao-only-fans, who would rather have Yao score 25pts and the Rockets lose than Yao score 14pts and the Rockets win.

So you are blaming all the YOF fans for only supporting Yao and not the Houston team? Tell ya what, Yao getting good stats doesn't contradict with Houston Winning, it CAN happen at the same time... Just like tonight!

c'mon... i know where you are coming from man... look, this issue has been rehashed so many times it's really getting tired.

what i'm saying is that there's no point in waking sleeping dogs... the poor guy you raked was just going cheering for Yao w/o hating...and was hopelessly sidelined by you. that's was unnecessary, to say the least. if he was out of place, i would have kept quiet, believe me. anyway, this ain't worth it.

this will be my last comment on this.

    gd win rocks!!

I'm not blaming nobody about nothing. Im rooting for Yao all the time, same as Jim Jackson, and Francis, and Taylor. I don't know man...forget it...lets enjoy this victoryI I'll tell you what 11-6..im prety impressed with that. Denvers going down down down, Denvers going down. Denvers going down down down, Denvers going down.

And from what I know, it's usually the case where you are a fan of a specific player, then you slowly become a fan of that player's team. I happens all the time. So, with Yao attracting fans from all over the world, I am sure all those fans will slowly become supporters of Houston... How can you have a problem with that???

Great game for the Rockets. Barring a terrible start to the 2nd quarter and a scary run in the middle of the 4th from the Pistons, the Rockets had complete control of the game. Our team defense was tremendous. We got so many deflections, steals, and forced turnovers by our trapping defense. Billups was shut out, and Hamilton who last year tore us a new one was handled well. Wallace didn't take over the game and Yao just flat out dominated. It just shows that single coverage on Yao is not a good idea.

Things I wasn't impressed with though were missed freethrows and our bad execution when the press was applied to us. They got like 5 turnovers simply because we had trouble getting the ball inbounds after made baskets. I wasn't pleased with our whining in the 4th quarter that made it seem like the refs had it against after the Francis tech. When we're up by 14 theres no reason to b**** to the refs about fouls, and there's no reason to lose composure and play like it's me against the world after receiving the tech. Francis on the whole though did a fantastic job and played like a PG, and not an out of position player. We still need to work on our turnovers and execution down the stretch if we want to improve more.

The thing that pleased me most aside from the win was Yao didn't seem tired and it seems like he's adjusting to the NBA tempo, and Francis even if it's only for tonight played like a true PG. Great win for the Rockets. Oh yeah Yao cut back on his turnovers and played big!

btw, I think the Rockets need to utilize Yao and his face up jumper much much more often. Thats a deadly little shot there. I hate that people try to limit him into being a back to the basket player. He can shoot just as high of a percentage from the outside as he can from the inside.

Yao had a double-double in EACH HALF tonight: 11/10 in the first half, another 11/10 in the second half. Huge.

Remember people yapping about Yao sitting on the bench for long stretches last night? Myopic fools: JVG knew we had a back-to-back, and Yao would be banging against Big Ben tonight--JVG conserved Yao's energy by limiting his minutes last night, played him FORTY DOMINATING MINUTES tonight, and most importantly the Rox won BOTH games.

JVG knows what he's doing--we're in good hands, folks.

Man, he didn't bash our guards. I think he was just trying to be humorous. Relax&Peace and enjoy the nice win.

Yao played 33 minutes last night, 48 minutes Wednesday night (over time win over Utah) -- big minutes for a big man, seems he is holding up very well. Maybe he was a little bit tired in the 4th quarter tonight, missed a couple of shots.
