Ok, ok the Rockets still have a slim chance to get in, but even Rudy T says it is a longshot, so our chances aren't good. As long as the Rockets participate, the playoffs are my favorite time of the year, better than my birthday, and even better than Christmas. The playoffs are so intense and fans of their team can help but get pumped up because of it. One thing I can remember about the 95 playoffs against Utah was constantly screaming at the TV complaining about the calls that Utah was getting, and gladly yelling even louder when Malone would flop and not get the call. It made me feel great. Even losing in the first round the last two times we were in, the playoffs were still a good feeling, because anything can happen. We did not match up against the Lakers in 99, but that one inspiring win in game 3 was awesome, the fans were into it, and the win created new hope among Rockets fans. How about Game 3 against Utah in 98, an incredible game. I miss all the excitement when the Rockets dont get in. I miss the loud playoffs crowds, I miss the big shots. I miss the tough physical defense. I miss RudyT's reactions when his team makes a big shot. I miss Geno's YES's and BINGO's. (It seems like he says those words even longer when a big playoff shot is made.) One final story, when Seattle lost to Denver in the first round in 94, giving the Rockets home-court advantage through-out, I was in such a happy rage, jumping around my room, that I ripped my curtains, as they fell to the floor. My mom was pissed, but I did not care, the Rockets were in a good position. This looks like it will be the 2nd year in a row that the Rockets dont get in. I can deal with a one year absence, the longer and longer they miss the playoffs, it is harder to deal with. Man I'm glad I'm not a Nuggets, or Warriors or Clippers fan.
