Yeah, have the playet present it to a selected fan maybe, or maybe 20 years down the road when they are out of the league give it to them then when they are down and out.

Since this concerns Mo T I think it belongs in the Rockets Forum.

The Rockets didn't select Joe's Crab Shack. It's a marketing ploy. Joe's is a major sponor of the Rox this season (hence the terrible crab race at the games...really, that race is 100% terrible!!!)

And the ploy worked because we are talking about ...<tada>...Joe's Crab Shack.

Did I mention that it is Joe's Crab Shack?

<I hope they give me one for that extra plug> :)

Yetti, I have generally enjoyed your posts, but now you have stepped over the line!:D Maybe, Joe's doesn't have class, but they have really good food. Try the coconut shrimp, they are great!

You have to think that it's a better p.r. coup for Joe's if they can get Mo Taylor to show up in their restaurants than some dipsh!t fan.

Tilman Fertitta the owner of Joe's Crab Shack (i.e. Landrys Restaruants) is part owner of the Rockets, Astros and Texans. Thats why there is a huge ass billboard by the escalator going up to the cheap seats in the downtown arena and why they give away gift cetificates and everything else, and why there is the Landry's Crawford box at the downtown ball park.

So yes it is a big marketing ploy.....
