Francis has outplayed Davis every year up until these first 17 games. You guys just can't layoff it for a minute.

if you're gonna compare him to anyone, compare him to marbury. Marbury is averaging over 10 assists per game and still can score.

Marbury has never averaged that many assists.

Baron has outplayed SF so far this year.

No ****? Really? I'm amazed by your keen insight. Got any more amazing tidbits for us? Like "KG is good" or the team who scores more wins ....

Baron elevated his game to a place Steve has yet to go. Baron is the better player right now. And that suprises me. Because I thought Baron was a going to be one of the flops. oops.

    Try this one:

Yes, Baron has outplayed Francis this year, because he has to. Baron's team is no where near as good as the Rockets, especially with Mashburn and Alexander still hurt. So the offense runs through Baron, which in turn boosts his stats, while JVG runs the offense through the lowpost.

Get a clue, and quit attempting to downgrade Francis. This is just as bad as everyone bashing McNabb in the beginning, and jumping off the bandwagon. What do ya know, Eagles #1 again, and McNabb NFC Offensive player of the month.

he is playing like an all-star, considering that being an all-star is based on popularity. i mean, look at all the commercials he's been in.

You guys forget one thing: SF gets his big paycheck now. He might need some other motivations. There are too many players that go downward after they get big contract.

The reason Baron Davis is doing so well this year is because of the new offense that Tim Floyd brought to NO. It is basically the NJ Nets offense. He is really thriving in that. If the rockets ever get an offense that has some movement in it, I think that would help out steve a lot.

Baron has been a beast this year, no doubt. Sadly, he and his team would be much better off if he didn't have a fetish for jacking up ridiculous amounts of threes this year. I can remeber these stat lines in particular from downtown: 0-10, 1-11, 2-13, 0-8, 1-9, etc... That is a freakin lot of threes when your obviously not hitting. The production between the two pgs is quite lopsided, but it would be even worse if Baron had a clue about shot selection.

Am I trying to belittle or degrade Steve by saying this? No. I am just saying that Baron is having an MVP like year that could be even better.

It just seems that Steve is not really playing hard at all this year..he looks lost..maybe its the new system that VG has put in but come on, he has to really step it up,he is playing like a regular point guard not an all-star...I just dont see him playing with motivation....dont see the desire....
