In the sense that they need to do something now since the Yankees did something. I agree but I know some might read my comment and take it as a knee jerk reaction.

On paper, the Yankees are scary but you don't win championships with paper.

On paper, the Yankees look like the second best team in the AL. Oddly, the best team on paper also is going to have 1-2 freshly minted rings (2 for Verlander and maybe Correa) next season.

Wow, I was really hoping both Ohtani and Stanton went to the NL. Now, we'll have to see them both a TON. I still think we're favorites to win the AL pennant again, but the gap has closed considerably......especially with the Yankees.

So will Yanks move Didi to 2B and bring up Gleyber (if healthy)? Astros still favored IMO but team def needs to shore up pitching.

Yankees are good. Not scary. They have a rookie manager. Starting pitching is suspect. They traded away their starting 2nd baseman. Next.

Either that or Gleyber to 2B.

They will be under luxury tax if Castro is in the deal. They will likely stay under luxury tax this year as they are going to be well above it next year and need to reset penalties.

you shouldn't be able to deal players to previous place of employment, memphis sending out gasol to the lakers.
Not good for the game. Come clutch time in the playoffs, I still fear scooter manning and gardner over judge. Judge fanboys hate hearing that but it's the truth til proven otherwise.

If a team trades a 29yo MVP to another team for simply a solid 2nd baseman... and that’s it, there’s something wrong with the league. The fact the Yanks don’t have to give up Torres or Frazier is insane.

    Stros vs Yanks:

    C McCann/Sanchez YANKEES
    1B Gurriel/Bird Push
    2B Altuve/Torres ASTROS
    SS Correa/Gregrius ASTROS
    3B Bregman/Headley ASTROS
    RF Reddick/Stanton YANKEES
    CF Springer/Hicks ASTROS
    LF Fisher/Judge YANKEES
    DH Gattis/Gardner YANKEES
    BENCH Marwin,Stassi,Marisnick/Torreyes,Romine,EllsburyASTROS

    SP Verlander/Severino ASTROS
    SP Keuchel/Tanaka ASTROS
    SP McCullers/Gray Push
    SP Morton/Montgomery ASTROS
    SP McHugh/Mitchell ASTROS
    CL Giles/Chapman YANKEES
    SU Harris,Devenski,Musgrove/Robertson,Kahnle,Betances YANKEES
    MR Peacock,Sipp,Hoyt,Feliz/Green,Warren,Shreve,Adams YANKEES

I’d still easily give the Astros the nod but unfortunately NY is likely to now use Frazier to acquire a ToR SP. Still, so long as Houston significantly improves its bullpen they will easily have the best team in the AL on paper.

Sanchez, Gregorius, Machado (or Donaldson), Judge, Stanton on offense, and they’ll likely add a ToR SP this offseason or next to go with that bullpen and Severino/Tanaka/Gray, plus their farm. NY has a bright future no doubt about it. But Houston can hang so long as they stay healthy and get a little luck with Tucker/Whitley and the 2nd tier FA they sign.

Jeter hooked them up. Stanton batting behind Judge? My goodness that's 100 hrs between 2 players.
