Remember when we did not want him when he was hired. Well, we were wrong like huge wrong. He is actually a good coach.

Howard was just not fit in D'Antoni's system and that's why it was messed up in LA.

He is a good coach when running one kind of system. LA was a bad fit. Not just dwight, but I don't think Kobe wanted to run the ssol offense.

Howard has every tool needed to be a center in MDmA's offense minus the brain.

Who’s we? I was always willing to give him a chance.

He’s done a lot better than I thought he would tho. I had us as a 45 win 7th seed heading into last season with our ceiling being 48 wins. I didn’t see 55 wins and the 3rd seed coming.

I absolutely hated the hire. Hated probably an understatement. I had a meltdown.

Just a reminder not to take me seriously! I have no idea what the **** I'm talking about.

Daryl was trying to convince James/Les for Stephen Silas (and maybe James Borrego?)

Mike D'Antoni? No, no, no, GOD NO! Come on! Are you serious?! **** you Les! I am not watching this garbage! Failed in NY, failed in LA, NO, NO, NO! Do not want! Oh, you're gonna pair him a "defensive minded" assistant? Cute! They tried it in LA & failed! Mike D'Antoni? I'm out.

I felt like anything would have been an upgrade. This is all just a bonus.

Speak for yourself. I couldn't believe how everyone was so against this choice, but in favor of other coaching retreads like JVG, George Karl, etc. MDA freakin' invented the modern NBA basketball offense and coaches it better than anyone else. It only makes sense to hire a coach like that to pair with Harden, who plays offense in a manner no other player does.

Getting CP3 was icing on the cake, but MDA/Harden was a no-brainer from the minute it became apparent that JB wasn't head coach material.

I think there is a sort of revisionism going on here. Most people didn't think MDA was a bad coach. Most of us at the time (rightly so IMO) wanted a coach that would bring defense to the team and the FO went out and got us the coach FURTHEST away from that end of the spectrum. It's obvious now who came out on top in that particular decision, but it wasn't like the other side of the argument was without merit; doubling down on more offense after the piss poor D we had in that implosive season just seemed... wrong. Again though, MDA's hiring only serves to remind us that Morey (and Les) are the ones making decisions for a reason, while we are in armchairs for a reason.

liked JVG...he had the team playing great defense...and winning too. But the ugly play made it had to watch even when they were winning. I wasn't to sure about Dan Tony...but the team IS fun to watch....and they're winning. So I'm converted
