Ryno has been good this year. Not just shooting but he’s putting more effort into defense and rebounding as well.

I wouldn’t move him for Jordan at this point either.

I don’t want him at in the middle of the season. With the way we are playing we will be able to go pretty deep, messing with chemistry would be a bad idea

This is dumb. We don't want his terrible contract and we have a guy thats mostly just as effective for a fraction of the cost. Unless the Clippers plan on playing the entirety of his deal in a buyout I don't want Morey to even entertain the idea of DeAndre Jordan.

No way. Ryno is a premium floor spacer and 3-pt shooter. I'd rather have Ryan Anderson easily over DeAndre Jordan.

No thats just stupid. You can't exactly play Capela and Jordan at the same time, so do you make Capela come off the bench? Then what do you do with Nene? And you'd lose one of the best three point shooters in the league taking him from a team that primarily just shoots the 3. This is insanity.

I highly doubt Clint's issue is with effort, it is likely fatigue and getting use to playing big minutes. The guy literally picked up a basketball for the first time 7 years ago, is in his third season and is now expected to do a lot more. That likely will improve over time. For someone to improve that much in FTs takes a ton of work, from what Harden has said Clint is an extremely hard worker so I doubt it is an issue with being lazy. DJ is older, he isn't going to change much with the number of years he's already played the game, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has worked with JL already since JL works with a ton of local pro athletes.

We can probably beat OKC and SAS in a 7 game series right now.

Does this affect their ability to get another star player though (assuming Ryno is moved)? I think Morey historically is willing to pay a player he found if he's got a third star signed. He would have paid Parsons the $45mm he wanted if they got Bosh first, not sure if the same cap advantages apply by waiting to sign your own player first.

Then trade for Nerlens Noel and a first, for Capela. DJ is on a horrific contract, no thanks.

Good to see the overwhelming sentiment is to keep Clint. He is younger with a ton of growth in him and is pretty much on par with Deandre already.

I have not watched DJ this year but I really cannot see the benefit to adding him to the team

I like DeAndre. But compare to Capela, he is older, more expensive and an unrestricted free agent that could bolt after this season. I'd take Capela over him any day of the week.

Capela has indeed gotten too way too good (especially with Harden) at his age to move for DJ, when you consider the age gap, salary gap, upside gap and the fact that DJ's biggest advantage (interior D) is getting smaller every day with Capela's strides on that end.

The only thing that interests me about this is the possibility that DJ makes a demand, meaning that LAC might have to move him for pennies on the dollar. And while I love Capela, if we could acquire DJ without dealing Clint...it could mean that we could shop for a star SF type while dangling CC while his value is incredibly high.

Usually I wouldn't mess with something that's working so well, but in the Warriors' league, it's an arms race for everybody. I'm not sure if there is a star forward would be on the market that would actually warrant us moving Capela (it would have to be a semi-young, versatile, athletic 2-way guy that still has growth potential), but Harden/CP3/All-Star F/DJ is not so far off from the Warriors foursome. But that's just me talking out loud. I'm 99% for keeping Clint.

He is a low IQ guy.

Capela can give you what he can.

He is a liability at the FT line. At least Capela is improving in this department.

The only improvement he brings over Capela is rebounding but not worth all of the above and that nasty contract.

We just had a month as the best offensive team ever! Why does anyone want to change that? Morey is not dumb.
