What excuse will they use for denying Harden MVP this season?

just the other day he said that Avery Bradley was the biggest offseason acquisition in the NBA...thankfully, he quickly corrected himself and said 1 of the top 5 biggest

 

To instill Paul Pierce's logic to Harden's numbers it would look something like this:

2017 season thus far
37 ppg per game
8 rebs per game
12 assist per game

To make matters worse this isn't even Cousins 1st or 2nd best season of his career. How does he choose Cousins (11-10 barely .500) over Harden (17-4 best record in the West)? Please someone help me understand where he's coming from.

Because if you work for ESPN you are contractually obligated to ignore/hate James Harden

 

It’s unfortunate for James, and everybody else in the league really, that LeBron has basically been having a new historic season every year.

I hope the narrative for Harden changes when we’re atop the league and people can’t help ignore us any longer.

Then he should be hoisting that honor on home court in the playoffs.

 

It’s already written: too much help from CP3, great supporting cast, best coach. His hot start will obviously not help either since they will compare the end of the season with the beginning. It will be Lebron, 99% sure!

LeBron: 58.3 FG% -- 42.5 3P% -- 66.3 TS%

Harden has been the MVP this year imo. The Rockets have cruised to a great record whereas the Cavs have grinded to a good one.

But if LeBron continues to play like this and Cavs win 55+ games, he would be a worthy MVP winner (as would Harden if he keeps it up).

The fact that the best player of his generation is having his best offensive season yet Harden is neck and neck with him from an offensive impact standpoint shows how truly great Harden is.

I hope Harden gets an MVP in his career, but what's more important for his legacy is a monster playoff run.

Imagine if Houston would miss Harden for a couple of months, like Spurs are missing Kawhi. What would our record be? That would for sure show Harden's importance to the team (not that I want that lol!)

As expected, Chris Paul has been a perfect fit for the rockets and they're too loaded now with d'Antonios high octane offense

LeBron otoh, is going it all on his own without Isaiah Thomas and deserves it more
