So, I take it Bobby Portis is no longer in jeopardy of getting cut by the Bulls -- the TJones treatment.
Sarver's pretty cheap, which I guess could be an argument for or against. I think that it's somewhat unlikely, given that Tyson still has another year on his deal, but I guess it depends on how much he'd be willing to give up to go somewhere else. In either case, I feel like there would be competition for his services, so I'm not sure we'd be his first choice anyway. If I were him, I'd probably choose the Cavs over us.
the majority of their roster is 25 or younger. then you have TC at 35 years old. he really has no business being on that team who is set on just playing their young guys and development. obviously hes there for mentorship etc but If phx wanted to do right, they would. Owed a guaranteed $13 mil this year and next so its kind of hard to trade him
A defensive specialist at the 4 is the only thing we really need. And I don't see Draymond being bought out but who knows... it's the NBA. Maybe he'll pop a squat on the Golden Gate Bridge and be shunned out of the bay area? Do they have an Alamo in California he can piss on?
We need front court depth, if any movement towards a buyout takes place. Conversations have started. Some of the usual suspects, along with a few that are interesting to consider. Luckily, we're not in a desperate spot to make a move. But, there are a few possibilities out there that you just cannot ignore. *I still remember how pumped we all were when JSmoov came to us. That season was magical until the sad end.
This year, we can upgrade our bench to last year level is ok. ie. Eric plus lou. Close to championship
I actually think someone like Jose Calderon will help alot. We need someone that can hit 3s and run the offense, but as a 3rd string or for spot minutes. He'll be a great insurance for CP3
Yeah $12.5 mil this year. Team option next year. Just wondering if bulls can’t find a trade partner....would they cut bait. Due to bad blood between Porter/Mirotic. Guess not.
Not many realistic buyout candidates being mentioned here; besides Deng. Randolph is not a buyout candidate. Dallas isn't buying out Wes Matthews during the season.
Someone always breaks loose. We got to be ready to snatch someone up. Other than wing players, we can offer decent minutes and the best shot at the Warriors. If someone really good becomes available for the minimum - like they do almost every year - we will have enough to go at the Warriors.
Don’t we have little money to begin with due to the hard cap? Jahlil Okafor would be at the top of my wishlist semi-realistically speaking.
You’d have a better chance getting Cuban blowing Trump on National TV than for Cuban to let Dirk wind up with the Rockets
THISSSSSSSSSSSS! If OKC sucks, I see Melo taking that pay cut and coming to Houston as a bought out VET.... Melo off the bench with EG... i came.
You must've missed the thread containing this: Truthfully, I'd rather have Iso Joe on this team. I've been stressing the need of another playmaker in the frontcourt. Also last year he had some great games in the playoffs. I really just think he could help in more ways than Melo.
you guys need to be realistic with whom you want, Dirk will NEVER be cut lol this is hilarious since he's on his last year and Cuban wants him to finish his career as a mav. NO ZBO will not be bought out becuase they just signed him to be a mentor for their young players along with VC, neither Wes mathew imo and i don't see how Tyson Chandler helps this team at 35yo while we have a pretty good depth at Center with Capela, Nene and Black.
