I see what you're saying, but I still disagree in most senses. I definitely agree that the contracts given in a Harden/Klay trade would kill their depth. But in another reality, Harden can't be traded right now. So if we're going pure reality, there's no conversation to be had.

    So back to hypotheticals... LOL

Harden for Klay is a no brainer. :) And this chemistry b.s. is a terrible argument. Talent reigns supreme in this league and Harden has it over Klay by a landslide. Harden would mostly just be the PG on that team so Curry could slide into Klay's shooting role.

Harden/Curry/Durant/Green/Hot Mess would be legendary. Klay/Curry/Durant/Green/Hot Mess has 6 losses already this year. No excuses. They've lost 6 when they were supposed to be chasing 68 wins again.

    Nice! Insulting and true!

    Klay is completely interchangeable. #CommonNBASkillz

I'll maybe give you Draymond, since it's a completely different role. But I do think you seem to be ignoring how much easier it'd be for the Warriors to find a Draymond Green or Klay Thompson than a James Harden. That isn't even debatable.

As for Harden needing the ball in his hands, so what? You truly don't think the Warriors would be even better if they brought out a lineup of Steph Curry, James Harden, and Kevin Durant?!?

At some point you have to see that almost no one thinks you are right and maybe just give in. We'll never know the answer, since the trade would never even be considered by the Rockets, but it's damn near a guarantee the Warriors trade Klay for Harden without a second thought and they'd likely do the same with Draymond.

Well yeah, non of these hypotheticals are realistic or possible in some cases, true.

So I was trying to be cognizant of not playing NBA2K entirely. As I've said, of course you keep trading up for better ranked players at the same position. Every team does that.

Just trying to factor in the reality case where they have to pay for it, yada, yada.

The real legendary part of that lineup would be:
    Harden
    Curry
    Iguodala
    Durant
    Green

And I do recall, unlike some of you, harden's help was weaker than klay's has ever been in playoff 2, 3 years ago. You can't have a discussion about quality of the two players when Klay's job was to play lazy offense, hit 3s and get back on defense with tons of energy. Energy he never expended on offense with a guy who was the entire offense for the Rockets.

You're not ASSuming enough about the situation you've gotten yourself into. You made a call a couple years ago and you were wrong. We all do it from time to time, just some don't work hard getting all defensive about it. Most let it go. We let our mistakes go and don't repeat them.

Don't make me post a disney video. I'll do it @asianballa23.

I've made the point about contracts, defense regarding Klay. I've noted if Klay continues to be flat defensively, and Harden continues to be better defensively than he has historically, the defense point goes away.

Regarding Draymond... who out there is comparable to Draymond?? Like is there a single player in the NBA?? You can't just up and replace Draymond, lol.

No, I don't think that lineup would struggle offensively. I just don't see how the offensive side matters that much. They were 16-1 last year in the playoffs with Klay being ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS offensively. Like HORRIBLE. The guy had a playoff PER of 9. Lol. He had an ORtg of 101 and a DRtg of 110. Not good.

Well, except for Warriors fans... but, yeah, let's just discount their opinion because we're clearly the smarter fan base!!! well.. that's actually true :)

No we won't know the answer, but its a damn near guarantee the Warriors have to put ACTUAL THOUGHT and ANALYSIS into both hypothetical trades in real life, because of issues beyond is Harden better than Klay (clearly)... and it's way more than likely they say no to Draymond for Harden then yes.

But to appease @SamFisher ... yes, I'm aware, the Rockets ALSO say No, lol

Haha! It sounds like you're giving up! Come to the dark side!

Also... someone should tell this person that 'Curry' and 'Fury' don't rhyme. Furry does though.

Great players find ways to play great together. No doubt Klay and Draymond are great players. But Harden is elite. Put him with Durant and Curry, and you'd have the greatest NBA offense of all-time. Even greater than last year's Warriors.

I'm surprised at this point after what Harden has been doing that it is even debatable.

Harden is the better player. Time to lock this one up. The comparison is dead now.

Fair enough. You are definitely right about the contracts. But just like the Heat with Lebron, Wade, & Bosh, the Warriors would find a way to pay James, KD, and Steph.

Like I said, I'd maybe give you Draymond. It isn't as simplistic as an immediate yes or no. It'd be a question of what the Warriors find more valuable with their current makeup.

Harden can play defense, when he isn't burdened with the entire offensive load, and this has been the case now 3 of the last 4 seasons. Great defensively in 14-15, took a stepback in 15-16, very good in 16-17, and looking great this year. Durant is also a good defender. All a Warriors team with Steph Curry, James Harden, and Kevin Durant would need is a Clint Capela, PJ Tucker, and Mbah a Moute to provide the defense and toughness they'd need on top of their elite offense.

Warrior fans are the worst in all of basketball. Also made up of 90% bandwagon fans. Before this dynasty, how many Warriors fans did you actually know?

I stand by my assessment. Easier to find defensive stoppers like Draymond than a superstar like Harden.

I like to hate on Draymond, too...

BUT the guy is the reigning DPOY, averages 7-10 boards, 7 assists, 30%+ three point shooting, 1 steal, a block and a half, every year.

EVERYBODY in the league is trying to find the next Draymond Green.

It's what leads to things like Royce White, lol.

So wait, you actually think if we offered James Harden for Draymond Green, the warriors say no?

    Lord.

Are you implying that Draymond Green is better than James Harden?
