Please. Carter's dunk was over a Frenchie. Hardly fair. ;)

Give me MJ's facial on Ewing or Dominique's over three or four guys at once anyday. Derrick Coleman's posterization of Shaq is also up there.

Didn't Clyde take off from near the foul line and jam it in over Ralph Sampson during their rookie year? There was an avi of that floating around back in the day.

Well, it's harder to see than Vince shoving his forearm into Weiss's head...I just can't see how you can "ho-hum" the dunk by that Chinese dude and bow down to Carter when Carter clearly got more of an boost off of Weiss than this guy got off the other guy's back...

It looks to me like Carter tried to shield his nards from the face of the Frenchy, he caught the Frenchy in the face with his hand.. and the Frenchy naturally reacted by looking downward to avoid any nut-to-face contact.

I should have Bill Walton's job!!!

the dunk by gerald wallace over snackbar earlier this preseason reminded me of the vince carter dunk in the olympics. not as nasty but pretty good. especially when snackbar was trying to hide his face from becoming a poster on some kings' fan wall. :D

It's a French dude, not that 14 yr. old Chinese kid. Carter's dunk was way better than this exhibition crap. There are numerous dunks better than some guy spinning around on people's backs.

Ok, I probably wrote it wrong but that "drag" did help him. It didn't give him an extra push like my statement looks like it said. You can see it gave him the little extra time (keeping him up a bit longer) to do that. That extra split second helps b/c it looked as he was on a downward motion and he got a chance to straighten out just as Donny pointed out. Watch it in slow-mo and you can really tell.

Someone said jealousy is why a few of us wrote that his foot hitting the guy's back helped him. I have no reason to be jealous. I might be jealous b/c his knees are better than mine now, but at 5'7'' I could throw down some alleys and some good bounces from time to time (can't palm for s**t) before. Hell I applaud that kid for trying something crazy. However, if that were me and I saw myself hit that guy's back, I'll try it again so there would be no discussion.

Keep forgetting there isn't an edit. The kid does have some serious hops and if tried again he might be able to completely clear those guys. Watch the video again and watch how his leg pushes that 2nd guy down. If it were a drag, he wouldn't have been pushed with that kind of force.

You are wrong, he did step on the other guy's back to help him. Check out this clip in slow motion:

Except for the fact that Carter fouled the guy by pushing off of his f'n head. (Still very impressive dunk, though.)

He didn't get a LIFT off of his head!

    (ok, that sounded so wrong)

He tried to push his head out of the way of his crotch, he ended up just smacking him, the frenchy then ducked, as I previously stated. Nard to face contact narrowly avoided. That had international incident written all over it.

This picture reminds me of that figure skater couple, but instead of the guys hand, it is the frenchie's head.

I checked out that slamnation.net site and there was some good stuff. The 360 dunk that's been posted here is amazing, but another guy from that site does a 360 dunk from inside the dotted circle. But the impressive part is that the guy is only 6'1"

If you ever happen to stumble across that old SI and there is a scanner near by... you would make my year. :) Seriously I think the first thread I ever started here on the BBS had to do with all time greatest dunks and that one by Drex was one I mentioned.
