Its officle the Magic are now 1 for 15 when they lost tonight 87 to 86 to the Raptors. How much longer can this go on before they decide to make a move? I mean this is a team that was suppose to make the playoffs earliy with out a doubt & now thier sitting with the worst record in the NBA
I think ALL it takes is just ONE win and the Magic can start to slowly build. Right now when they continually lose it gets beaten into their minds that they'll never win. THEN they force shots, play crappy defense and rush their offense because they fear of keepin' that losing streak alive. They almost won tonight, but they didn't. If they can get a win under their belt, the pressure will be lifted from their shoulders. They can take that and turn it into a 2-4 game winning streak. EVEN if they lose a game, they won't have that added fear of a 15 game losing streak about to hit 16. The Magic are still a solid team, but look at it this way; if a team has an amazing winning streak going they're harder to beat. Sooner or later that streak ends and the team again falls back to earth. Remember Atlanta when they started out 11-0? They didn't even make the playoffs that year. BUT the same thing could be said for a losing streak. If they have a horrible losing streak, it'll be harder for them to win. BUT once they do, the whole situation changes. It's still early, the Magic win 5 games in a row and their record is 6-15, lose a game and then nab 5 more wins and their record is 11-16. Not looking as bad now is it?
and if they win the next 40 games they wil be 41-15 i kinda agree with you, they will have a better record. but the problem with the magic is that they have 1 great player, and the rest are role players. and if mcgrady doesn't play great they will lose. and having 1 star and winning is difficult if a zone defens is allowed
If they get Okafor, they'd be in good shape, and he'd get a chance to be on a winning team right away. Plus, he'll do MUCH better in the East, where everyone's small.
Okafor would be a nice addition to the Magic. It would be like they are getting a reprieve from trading Ben Wallace away. Okafor still is kinda raw offensively but you know you will get a lot of rebounds and block shots from him. He is tailor made to play in the East. The Magic just have to hold on until Hill's contract runs out. Hill wants to play later this season. If I am the Magic I dont allow it. I think if he sits out all of this season and half of next his contract comes off the books because of a medical exemption. Something like he has to be out of action for 2 full years before they get him off the books before the official contract ends. So if he comes back this season they have to wait ANOTHER 2 years. That would be disasterous.
speaking on this tpoic, How much longer can Denver keep up thier wins? Man that team just seems to keep going i think it has alot to go with A. Miller.
