Malcolm Young of AC/DC has died at the age of 64. So long, rock brother. I enjoyed watching you in concert at the ones I attended....from the 1985 show at the Astroworld Amphitheater to later shows at The Summit back in the 80s. Those were fun shows to attend as a teenager. Always loved your rhythm guitar work, long hair and vibe. You rocked it, dude!
I remember on my 11th birthday and buying AC/DC Back in Black and Rush Moving Pictures. Not bad taste, if I must say.
Very first cassette I ever bought was Let There Be Rock. Had everything on vinyl up to For Those About to Rock we Salute You. RIP
acdc was a big part of my childhood. didn't know he had dementia. rock on breh, your music will rock forever.
Sad day for rock. AC/DC never compormised. Even my 17 year old can recognize an AC/DC song within a few notes.
1975 one of my friends comes back from Australia and starts telling me about this band he was turned on to while he was there. AC/DC He turns me on to "high voltage" and I was HOOKED immediately. The first time I was able to see them in concert was here in Houston, 1978, backing up my favorite band Aerosmith (at the Summit). The day before this show I went to the first Texxas Jam at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas (Aerosmith, Heart, Nugent, Journey, Van Halen, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Head East, Walter Egan, and Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush). UNBELIEVABLE show!! I was wiped out the next day/night. The lights go down, and AC/DC puts on one of the best live performances I've ever seen. Bon Scott up front (and anyone who thinks Brian Johnson AC/DC is better than with Bon you're DEAD wrong). Over the years I've seen AC/DC probably around twenty times. Their albums are freakin awesome, but they were (and ALWAYS will be) a live band. Their shows are off the hook and KICK A$$!!! Malcolm was a HUGE part of what made this band incredible. He will be missed but NEVER forgotten. RIP my friend.
