Anyone know why they're hardly playing? On a depleted Clips team, no less? I thought they were going on to better things after they showed some promise here, but they're only getting garbage time atm...
because they arent that good. Everyone kept saying we traded too much for paul even though it had to be done per salary matching. Rockets got better at everything. Paul >Beverley Tucker>Decker LMBM> Harrell . Didnt need lou williams with paul, harden, gordon. Lou didnt fit. But beside the point. As you can see, they were way overvalued by people around here that know nothing.
fify Spoiler: get you some Rockets Truth http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/morey-is-a-horrible-gm.283728/
I liked them both. Sam could slash and dunk a make a three. Well, he shot the three well for a few games and then showed that he really can't shoot them well. I even thought he had some d potential because of some early game (against KD maybe?). But you can't be a Rocket without being able to make a 3 ( centers and some PFs can get away with this). And now that we have a really strong ft team I can't go back to 50% Fts (Dekker shoots these poorly). Clint improved and he can, too. Montrezl has game, however. He can score around the basket and is showing better rebounding this year in a limited role. I was wary of his anger-didn't he bump a ref in summer league or something? I don't want to be in a playoff game where my player is a hothead. I think we wanted to keep him but Lac needed him. His Fts are poor, too. We are of course fine without these two. Based on limited stats, Montrezl definitely deserves more time, Sam maybe not. But you have to question any teams rotations if they play Austin Rivers so much. I'd welcome them back someday, especially if Sam improves his 3 pointer.
I liked dekker tho. I think they shoul play him more. Decent rebounder, decent shooter, good slasher. Good player off the bench imo. But as someone already said, a rotation that includes austin rivers getting high minutes is trash anyway
I am beginning to think the Rockets are better at development than I gave them credit That we are able to optimize these guys while they are here not to mention the Harden effect. Maybe they are not that great but more likely Harden and D'Antoni and the Rockets made them look better than they were Rocket River
It is obvious that Doc Rivers doesn't have faith in them. Jerry West got them included as trade assets. It is clear Doc has no use for them. Rookie Sindarius Thornwell is getting minutes ahead of Dekker.
Because Doc Rivers is a moron clinging to his job, so he doesn't care about the long term health of the club. Montrezl didn't develop much, but there's no reason Dekker shouldn't be getting minutes except for the fact that Rivers is so old-minded he can't see that Blake needs to move to the 5 and Gallinari to the 4. Jordan is not needed anymore.
Tristan Thompson Jae Crowder Nets Pick for DeAndre Jordan Sam Dekker Assuming LAC continue to stink, who says no?
The rockets aren't better at development. Complimentary players just look better playing with the best point guard in the league. Look at Deandre Jordan. His scoring numbers are way down.
