He looks completely lost out there and he's incredibly timid and what appears to be intimidated. Really really weak. But he has good fluidity and good interior defensive instincts. He is absolutely a 4 for 2 years until he can gain strength ala capela and if his shot becomes real he can eventually be a very solid center
5 honey butter chicken biscuits for breakfast, a $5 box from Popeyes for lunch, and then back to Whataburger for a Patty Melt meal for dinner
the biggest problem with Qi is that he has such weak hands. it's one things to be overall weak, but he can barely catch the ball and any slap near the ball causes him to lose it. it's tough to use someone who is a turnover waiting to happen just throwing them the ball. did early capela have this much trouble simply holding onto the ball or catching it? one thing that really makes capela and nene so great right now is they can catch most anything thrown at them then hold onto it in traffic and still finish. sounds simple but lots of big guys can't do it. i definitely thought "uhh, don't say that" but i doubt anyone makes anything of it.
Freaking love Chris Paul going out there after the team dropped 142 and bagging on the defense. This guy is serious about basketball and it's something that we've needed for a long time.
Very early and clearly he needs a few off seasons putting on muscle and weight, then he will hold the ball in those situations. Defensively he has good instincts already
Beautiful dominant win tonight. Man I was hoping we bust them across the head for 180. Lol Phoenix needs to forfeit the remainder of the season. Lol
Joe Chee may be an NBA player someday But now he is well on his way to becoming the greatest Victory Cigar in Rockets history
yup, he’s not confident on offense...a lot of games in the G League will do him some good he’s already making plays defensively as weak as he is which is nice to see it’s good that a lot of his issues are strength based and not skill based
So it’s official, Chuck be trolling. He predicted Boston would lose tonight and that the Boston schedule had been easy YET Irving is his front runner for MVP! Idiot. Tape don’t lie fool!
Lol everyone should stop comparing Capela to Zhou Qi because Capela's development period is comparable to star big men. He showed promise in year 1, was a reserve quality in yr 2, starter in yr 3 and now having a couple of 20 reb games wtf. That's not really the trajectory of big men in the league, if you look at guys like Tyson Chandler or Eddy Curry they really only started doing damage around age 25+. So Qi is a long way away from being ready thats why everyone says big men take longer to develop than wings and guards.
Sounds like we have some guys that need to get into the weight room with a medicine ball pretty often.
