Question to the OP. Had you heard of Roy Moore before this past week?

 

One is on trial, the other will never see a courtroom.

Hypocrisy is in evidence here, but it is yours.

 

Wiener got massive coverage from the very first time he was accused of anything. Furthermore, Wiener didn't have a number of people saying that even if he had done it, they would still support him. People lambasted Wiener from the get-go. The coverage on him was pretty massive. It didn't last as long and wasn't heightened because of people continuing to support Wiener.

 

He received "the treatment," as you put it, from the day his weiner appeared in a text message. He was excoriated on The Daily Show, repeatedly, despite the fact that he was a personal friend of Jon Stewart, for God's sake.

 

Also for the OP if you want to find Democrats behaving badly. In MN there is a sitting state senator who has been accused of sexual harrassment by a few women including fellow legislators. I will point out that the both the Democratic Governor and Democratic Minority leader have called for Sen. Schoen's resignation.

Democrat David Alcon should step aside.

Um, that's pretty crazy. Not sure he had a real shot at winning the primary this summer, never mind being in the actual running for a House seat.

Sounds like a total creep. No wonder he wanted a life in politics. Hope the woman can get a restraining order and I hope this scumbag drops out of the primary. I know I'm taking the woman's word for it, but she was scared enough to call police and he has a prior in this wonderful sort of behavior.

(On Menendez, OP, am finding coverage on this topic all over the place, CBS, NBC, and even liberal CNN (which I normally avoid like the plague) and the Chicago Tribune (not exactly a Jersey paper). Just saying. As JV said, it's older news, and I'd add that corruption is not nearly as exciting for the public as anything related to sex. Not trying to convince you of anything. You've clearly made up your mind and that's okay.)

 

Joe Biden has always annoyed me. I've never liked his hokey shtick and in the Senate was glad he didn't run for President last year.

Really? Anthony Weiner is your argument? He got crushed after many in the party tried to get him to drop out and said he was an embarrassment to the party and the city.

 

I will comment on most every thread in the D&D, but I'll start a thread if there is something interesting I want to talk about. I don't have a particular burning desire to talk about Menendez, not because he's a Democrat, but because the news is old and I don't have any take on him now I'm dying to share with everyone. I'm not going to start a thread just to have some 'fair play.' We talk about what is interesting. It's not my fault he commits boring crimes while Republicans commit salacious crimes. But part of it is marketing. I'm sure if you start a thread on him, if you can find the right button to push, we'll go on for 20 pages.

 

And how many allegations are against Roy Moore?
