"White privilege" is a bullshit racist term. It's like assuming that being born white means that you'll never struggle, never face problems, and that when you do tons of people will try to help you get out of your mess. The term assumes you'll never experience racism, prejudice and closed opportunities for the way you look. Minorities do struggle and I sympathize with their struggles, but turning around and saying all white people have a privilege because there's white people on tv is racist. It's simplifying a race which is the first step before generalization and generalization naturally leads to racist beliefs. James Harden is doing something incredibly valuable and you're turning it into a race debate? What the hell is wrong with you? No matter what you are, you have privileges because of it. There's no need to give it a name and generalize because of it.
Just like being white guarantees you won't be possibly murdered in the street by a cop simply for being black and the murderer never being convicted. White ppl don't have that daily fear so yes white priveladge is prevelant you liar. Just like America ridiculing blacks that take a knee peacefully in protest of cop murder of innocent blacks. You know absolutely nothing about me. I'm proud of all the people that kneel. I like Colin Kaepernick and appreciate what he is doing and has done out there. I believe that cops killing innocent people is horrifying. I believe that documentaries like "13th" should be mandatory in public schools. One of my absolute best friends in this world is black, a black woman gave me my very first job, another black woman was my very first boss. I would call Dr Martin Luther King Jr my idol. Whew. Hats off to you helping with a great cause in libraries, James! I hope it can teach people that not ALL blacks, whites, cops, Democrats, or Republicans are the same, and to have a discussion based on logic instead of emotion and labeling each other, (but who am I kidding?)
