rudy gay is showing the world he's on kevin durant's level, but only because durant is 1 for 9 tonight. gay has been awful while i watched (2nd quarter). lazily went after a jump/loose ball and let curry get a breakaway layup when he could have either fouled the warrior who caught the ball or got back on curry while the ball was in the air. no hustle. then to end the half, curry loses the dribble right to friggin' gay and he just softly walks up to it, backs away when he sees curry going after it, and still manages to knock it out. golden state got a 3 on the possession. a fypical popovich spur would've hustled and gotten in there and come away with it easily. how he somehow managed to not get it and knock it out was as soft as it can get. and that's just the non-spursian attitude he has. he airballed a 3, bricked another open 3, hit the side of the backboard on a layup. and then had a terrible drive to end the half. he looks fatter, too. i used to not like him. then he went into basketball siberia for a few years where i never saw him. now he's gone from overrated average player to worthless. disclaimer: i've only seen him in the 2nd quarter of this game. maybe he's playing great this season.
I don't understand why the league decided to allow tons more contact in the paint but way less contact on loose balls. There's so many fouls on rebounds now
Spurs have a lot of worthless players. Pau Gasol 37 PF Non-Bird $16,000,000 - - ( Tony Parker 35 PG Bird $15,453,126 - - ( Patrick Mills 29 PG Bird $10,714,286 -
Who wants to bet if the Laker's win, the ESPN headline will be Ball Wins Matchup with Lilliard... despite 0 points.
